It was early in the morning, so early that the sun hasn't rose up yet. On a fluffy bed laid a motionless fragile form of a young woman. Her light grey eyes were half closed as she kept staring onto the luminescent stars that were painted on the ceiling of her crummy room. Her pale pink lips were moving slowly as if she was whispering, but no sound came out. A sudden gush of wind blew from an open window, making small wind bells that hung from a curtain baton chime. This sound made the young woman open her eyes wide as if she were released of her weird trance. Letting out a frustrated groan, she sat up from her bed and picked up her phone.
— Half past three. . . Just great. — The young woman muttered in displeasure as she stood up and stretched her back. Turning on the small desk lamp on her table, she began changing her pajamas to an oversized maroon hoodie and a pair of black leggings. Tying her blonde hair into a messy bun without bothering to brush them first, the young adult picked up her old stained shoulder bag and walked out of the bedroom. As she stepped into the living room, she got blinded by the lights that her sleepy eyes hadn't gotten used to. Slowly making her way towards the kitchen, she met her roommate.
— Good morning, T! I was just about to wake you up. Slept well? — Next to the stove stood a short young woman with a pale face, curly black hair, and shimmering green eyes that shone with kindness. By the time the blonde walked inside the kitchen, she was busy preparing breakfast.
— Morning. . . — T walked towards a small refrigerator and took out a carton of milk. — I told you you don't have to wake up so early just to make me breakfast. — pouring milk into her favorite mug young woman plopped on a chair by the dining table.
— Yeah, but then you'll most likely faint from malnutrition. And I don't want that to happen. — The black haired young woman placed a plate with mouthwatering breakfast on the table. — Bone appetite! — She giggled and sat by T's side with another plate in hand.
— Was that a pun? — The blonde picked up the fork and began eating her omelet.
— Hmm, maybe! — Her roommate let out a small chuckle as she too dug into her food. After eating a well prepared breakfast, T suggested to do the dishes for her roommate.
— Are you sure? I mean, the sun will rise in an hour, you still have to climb the mountain. Will you make it in time?
— No worries, Lily, I'll manage. — Was T's curt reply as she began washing the dishes. While doing that, a certain white feline leisurely walked by the blonde's side and rubbed its head on her leg. — Look who has blessed us with one's presence!
— Goodness! I forgot to feed Milky! — Exclaimed Lily as she began rummaging the cabinets in search of cat food. Pouring the dry food into a small bowl, she called Milky. The cat rushed to its bowl and began munching on the tuna flavored food. — Oh, I'm so sorry, dearest. — Lily began patting the cat's white fur while mumbling apologies.
— I'm done. — T wiped her hands dry with a small towel. — I guess I'll be out for a while, so don't worry if I'll come back late in the evening. — Wearing her shoulder bag, the young woman walked towards the front door of their miniscule apartment.
— Wait a moment! — The short roommate rushed after the blonde. — Here, take this. — It was a small lunchbox with two sandwiches, an apple, and a bottle of water.
— Lily, what would I do without you? — T placed the lunchbox and bottle into her bag and gave Lily a small hug. — Thanks, I'll be off now.Two young adults lived in a small apartment in the rural part of town. It was so far from the busy town center that it took almost an hour ride to reach there. On the bright side, the rural area was in the middle of the lush green forest. The air here was crisp fresh and had flowery scent lingering in this time of year. Even though it was still dark outside, the road was lighted up with street lamps illuminating the way of the young woman until she turned from the main road onto a narrow stone path that led somewhere into the darkness. After a few minutes of walking, T couldn't see anything but black, the artificial light from the street lamps didn't reach this deep into the forest, and stars were hidden by the huge crown of trees. Taking out a small cheap flashlight from her pocket, T continued her way deeper into the forest, further from civilization, closer to the sky as the path started going uphill. Now, you may ask yourself, where is this silly bean heading to in this hour? Well, to the peak of the mount Ebott, of course!
