he was lying to you the whole time. darianka wasn't just a new friend, or an acquaintance. she was practically his other girlfriend.
they were texting all the time, meeting up almost every day, sending eachother cute selfies and flirtatious texts. you were speechless. how could he be lying for all this time? you were even more mad that you fell for the trap than him doing this to you. alex looked at the both of you, in a really awkward, heated position, and he turned off the camera really quick and said "um... i'm going to go... this seems personal." he took the lights, camera, and microphones with him.
"jayla... i can explain all of this, i promise!" he said with a bit of regret in his voice. he took your hand to try to comfort you, as he always did. he took your hand and you pulled it back. "nick... i was, and still am sadly, in love with you. why did you do this?" you ran off. "JAY!" you didn't turn back. didn't wait for his whole speech. didn't give him a second chance. you were in pain, and you wanted nothing to do with him and you wanted to be nowhere near him. you ran outside, and waited for josh to pick you up. it was raining, but getting soaked was better than spending time anywhere close to that insanity you called your boyfriend.

he pulled up to the hype house and opened the passenger seat door. "jay, why are you soaking wet? get in the car!" you run and quickly shut the door. you notice that jaden, bryce, and griffin were in the backseat. "nick cheated on me..." you say as tears start to form in your eyes. the boys in the backseat and josh opened their doors to go into the hype house. "boys..." they ignored you and kept walking. you decided not to go in, and not to stop them. whatever they'd do to him... he deserves. you waited for a few minutes, until you saw the boys being franctically pulled out by chase, thomas, ryland, and the lopez brothers. they didn't say anything, but you decided to get out of the car and walk home. being mugged by a stranger would be better than being interrogated be a group of boys that acted like your older brothers.
"JAYLZ! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" the boys tried running after you, but you were on the track team in middle school after all. you just wanted a way to escape.
