running away?

you had so much going through your mind at once. why would they do that? did he actually love you? was this all a joke? you knew a good hiding spot, a small abandoned house near the train tracks. there were no moving trains there anymore, but you and josh used to always go there after school with friends to go exploring. he probably forgot about it by now, so that was your best bet. you ran as fast as you could to the back roads so that nobody saw you. a weird guy in a worn out jean jacket seemed to be walking in your direction, but you didn't think anything of it yet. you just wanted to get away.

you made it to the abandoned cabin. nobody was there, of course, but it seemed way sketchier than ever. there was broken glass all over the floor, and there were cabinets and drawers that seemed to be filled with god knows what. it'll do for a little while, you thought, just so you could clear your head.

you heard footsteps. who could possibly know your hiding spot? you were scared. a man walked in, the same one wearing the jean jacket. "hello princess..." he said while walking closer to you. you noticed he shut the cabins door and locked it. "can i help you...?" you said with some nervousness in your voice. he kept walking closer. "what is a pretty girl like you doing here?" he said while reaching his hand out to touch yours. "um... can you not touch me please?" his face went from a smirk to an angry glare really quick. "oh princess, you're stuck with me now. i'll do whatever i want!" you shook with fright. "please... just leave me alone!" you said while walking backwards.

he walked forwards, but this time he got even closer. you tried to slap his hand away, but that's when he went mad. he took you by the hair and pushed you across the room, with you hitting against the hard wall. splinters and cuts from the wood wall were all over your arms and side of your face. "ow..." you stumbled over and fell on the floor. "that's what happens when you don't listen." he moved closer and started to kick you, pain all over your body. "PLEASE! DON'T HURT ME!" you screamed with pain in your voice. "too late for that, princess.." he walked towards the cabinets.

you tried getting up, but it was too painful. you couldn't move an inch. he took needles out of the cabinets and walked towards you holding them. he took your arm and tried putting the needle in. "PLEASE! NO!" you tried to push away, but he was too strong. one round of needles already went into you. you fell asleep, dizzy and hallucinating.

you woke up on the same hardwood, splintery floor you fell asleep on. someone was nudging you, but it felt familiar. you tried to turn around as best as you could without hurting, and you saw josh. "jayla! what the fuck happened?!" you tried talking, but you couldn't get the words out. "do-n kno-" was all you could get out. he picked you up, trying not to hurt you. "we need to take you to the hospital... jay stay with me sissy..." he said, with nervousness in his voice. you tried keeping your eyes open, but fell asleep again.

this time, when you woke up, you were in a bright white room. avani, charli, josh, and all the sway boys were sitting eagerly waiting for a sign of you being awake. "guys...?" you said trying to get up. "jayla!!!" they all said while josh helping you to sit up. "where am i?" you said while looking around. "the hospital, stupid" bryce said while laughing. jaden punched bryce in the shoulder. "hospital?" you said, confused.

"you got in an accident.." josh said while rubbing your hand. "you ran away to the old cabin, and someone hurt you." you remembered everything. "is the man.." you couldn't finish your sentence. "the man who did this to you is already in prison, rotting in a cell, thankfully" josh said with concern in his eyes. "do you remember what happened?" he asked. "yeah... i went to run to the cabin.. and he came in, locked the door, and came closer to me. i told him to get away, he threw me across the room... put needles in me..." you stopped before you started bawling. "hey... it's okay bebe.." avani held you in a hug tightly. "so that's what the drugs were in her system.." the doctor said while fixing some charts.

you heard a knock on the door while avani opened it. nick?!
