Quiet. That's all it ever is now. With having to kill you're parents for food and to keep you going is only the beginning. Blood thirsty zombies would have heard their shrieks to help their 10 year old children. Well..that was 7 years ago.Now times have changed. They're not those little kids anymore, they're the rulers of the town and area. It was decided in private, catching the adults by surprise while they slept.
Living in a school seemed like a nightmare back then, but now with it having so many rooms, it was ideal. No one really ruled the place until tonight. There was going to be a vote for who was going to lead. It was between Kyle, Wendy or Cartman.
Kyle. A logical choice. He thought things through, sometimes too much. He guarded the school 2 days a week and was a pretty good, well built, average sized, slightly muscular boy. His number one priority was to keep his little brother, Ike, safe; and nothing else really mattered to him.
Wendy. Another logical person. She saw points from both points of views and compromised pretty evenly. She was the toughest girl they had, also pretty tall as a bonus with a fair, curvy, slim build. The only thing bringing her down was her crush on her best friend, Bebe.
Cartman. A complete psychopath, the one who eats most of the food, the untrustworthy one, but so much that he was a good choice. He would be used to make their enemies as horrified as they could ever be; mentally and physically. He was crazy in the head, with little logical thinking going on in his mind, but fairly strong and tall. Though he had lost a few pounds, he was still a little overweight.
But that was for later. No need the worry now. The ginger circled the familiar premises with his home made spear, in silence. He was dressed in a black leather jacket to stop bites, blue jeans, white trainers and had cut his hair quite short; like he did when he loved that bitch Heidi. She seemed so nice, but easily manipulated. It was sad really, she used to be a good person, and now she was bitchy to everyone.
He saw a lone zombie crawl up towards him, arm amputated and it's hair falling out by the minute. It had a few pipes in its throat and arm. It was probably a cancer patient. There weren't many anymore.
The ginger walked up towards it casually, keeping a straight face. "Hey dude." He spoke as if it would speak back. "You were probably a good person...shame you had to go in such a way. Rotting for 7 years, in the dark, never to be held or treated fairly. No worries, I'll end it for you." He stabbed him gently, instantly ripping his skin like paper.
He fell to the ground, reaching upwards; as if there was something there. It reminded the teenager of his mother when he had to kill her. Her begging eyes, holding her dead, loving husband in her grasp. She had cried to much, clawed at her own skin.
His mother...what did she even look like? How was he supposed to know? Her whole body was eaten by everyone else, those cannibals. He never regretted growing crops at the farm and feeding off of cows. It was still there, just less protected. Protected..what did that feel like...?
"Watch out!" Someone shouted behind him, a knife going through the zombie at his feet. It's teeth were about to sink into his ankle. Oh yeah, he hadn't even killed it yet. He felt hands grasp his shoulders then throw him to the ground. Cartman... "God do you have a death wish or something! You could have just become one of them because you space out too much!"
"I..I know. Sorry. Thanks for killing it." Kyle replied, shaking from the fact his life could have been over. He dragged the body over to the pile without words and sat on a brick.
"Hey, don't strain yourself." Cartman said kindly, wanting to just shut up and walk away. As much as him and Kyle fought, they were still friends deep down and cared for eachother. They just hated to show it. "I know. You're mothers death is still on you're mind. You have to let go of the past though, Kahl. Now..stop being a dumb Jew and get to you're job again."
