the kids are despairing, and the adults uncaring, and in the schools no one is learning, people yearning for an education they can't seem to get right, sit tight, maybe tonight they won't end their lives, brandishing knives, if someone would just listen to me, if only they could see I'm telling them the truth and that they need to hear sense, my pennies worth, dollar for your thoughts but not a dime for your insight, you can't seem to get it right, you're unreliable, undeniable, unforgettable until your times up, close up shop, just face it kid, nobody cares unless you're pretty or dead, well soon you'll be pretty dead, a walking contradiction, science fiction, you read about the monsters under your bed but how about the ones inside your head, now bottoms up, we hit rock bottom, bottom of the bottle, end of the line, it's your time to shine, but the lights went off, power down, no more sounds, sound asleep, time for bed, rest your head, don't wake up fucking dead, they're gonna get you, make you go to school, to an education that doesn't exist, minds resist, but they never quit, and I said to listen, but nobody listens, nobody fucking listens.
