"Hyung!" Jungkook pushed his elder into the wall as they both hurried into the kitchen as they smelled the food. Taehyung rubbed his elbow and sprinted to catch up to his younger brother. They ended up playfighting in the living room before their eldest hyung stood in the door way, spoon in hand, with his arms folded in disappointment.

"Hyung!" The two men, who were acting ike children pulled themselves up and brushed the dust off themselves. Their eyes sparkled as the tip-toed to attempt to see the food in thr kitchen.

"Taehyung your hair is a mess! How do they girls call you handsome if your hair is like that? Jungkook where did you run off to this time? Namjoon was looking everywhere for you!"

"Sorry Jin-Hyung," The two of them hung their heads and pouted. They knew they'd be in trouble if they were gone for too long, but they couldn't help explore the world beyond the village walls.

Seokjin shook his head and sighed,

"There's food in the kitchen, hurry and eat it before it gets cold."

Jungkook and Taehyung grinned at the thougjt of Seokjin's cooking and excitedly followed their hyung into the kitchen where they contained themselves before eating.

Seokjin isn't married, which surprises everyone to this day. He has a flawless face so the girls swoon when he walks past. In fact, everyone who lives with him seem to have the power to make the girls fall head over heels.

Namjoon is extremely smart. He's the brains of the household, and is usually out studying in the library. Taehyung and Jungkook are the "kids" despite being fully grown men in their early twenties. Taehyung is always described as "perfect" and is often compared to different flowers and Jungkook was just known to be the man of the girl's dreams.

As everyone was eating at the table, Namjoon announces his arrival from the library, which was lucky because the sun was just about to set.

"Hello Hyung, Hello Taehyung and Jungkookie," Namjoon smiled as he gently placed his books on a table before settling down to join them.

"How was the library this afternoon?" Seokjin asked, offering Namjoon the food that was still steaming hot.

"Nothing interesting really happened. I just heard the emperor was looking for soldiers from the messenger who came by,"

"Who was the messenger?"

"I think his name was Jimin,"

Jungkook's eyes lit up,

"Park Jimin? I saw him at the party the other week! We drank together!"

Jungkook said that sentence with his mouth stuffed with noodles. Taehyung scoffed sarcastically to mock the youngest and Namjoon chuckled. Seokjin just glared at him.

"You drank with Park Jimin? I remember going to school with him. How was he?" Taehyung asked.

"He's fine, he looks very handsome now," Jungkook swooned. He smiled at the thought of Park Jimin's smile.

The others at the table looked surprised, but they didn't question anything.

"Why does the king need more soldiers? Doesn't he have a whole army?" Taehyung cocked his head as he took a bite of bread.

Namjoon shrugged, "I don't know. All Jimin said was people were just going to be selected from the crowd at any point of the day,"

"And they're looking for young men?"

"Like ourselves."

-

It was the early hours of the next morning. Namjoon left straight after breakfast and Seokjin went to the market, leaving Taehyung and Jungkook to roam the streets.

They appreciated the sunrise as the street began to fill up with people. They even saw some of the Emperor's soldier's patrolling.

"Hyung, don't you think there's more soldiers out here today?" Jungkook asked the older as he glanced at the two soldiers patrolling the streets.

Taehyung shrugged. He continued to stride down the streets as Jungkook followed closely behind. The sun rose higher in the sky and more people began to fill the streets. Some people came out to do their laundry, and others were on their daily trip to the market. Jungkook and Taehyung were just strolling when they approached the library Namjoon is studying at.

Jungkook tugged on Taheyung's sleeve as he felt the stares of girls who were swooning over them. The older raised his brow before leading the two of them inside as he caught on.

The younger sighed in relief once the door closed behind him. The library was very peaceful, and the two of them were welcome in there anytime due to their hyung studying there. They mainly studied astrology and battle tac-tiks, which involved smart people like Namjoon. He was a highly respected person who came to the library daily, so it wouldn't be surprising that his brothers were allowed in.

The reason why Jungkook comes into the livrary isn't because he liked to read. There were plenty women who liked to throw themselves over him and his hyung, and as much as he adored being admired, he was plain awkward when it came to the ladies, so a hiding place was always handy in times like these.

"Jungkook-ah, you're sweating," A soft voice called out.

Jungkook's eyes sparkled as he set eyes on the messenger boy he drank with at the party the other day. Park Jimin.

"Hello Hyung! I didn't know you were here again!" Jungkook almost squealed, which made Jimin giggle.

Taehyung took a moment to set eyes on his old classmate. Jimin matured quite a bit since the last time they saw each other, and Jungkook wasn't lying when he said Jimin was handsome. He reminded Taehyung of a captivating fairy. He also wondered if Jimin was married.

Jimin noticed his old classmate and grinned,

"Taehyung! I haven't seen you in years! Still single I take it?" He teased. Taehyung nudged Jimin playfully, and the three of them erupted into a fit of giggles. They almost forgot that they were in a library.

The three of them didn't have much fun before two soldiers strode into the library, knocking the humor and happiness out of the air.

Jimin's smile suddenly dropped when he set eyes on the soldiers, as Jungkook and Taehyung had their backs turned.

"H-hyung!" Jimin began, sweat starting to form on his forehead.

"Park. What are you doing? You're not supposed to be with commoners during your duty,"

"What's the matter?"

Taehyung was the first to turn as he asked the question. Jungkook followed. The guards had the air knocked out of their lungs once they set eyes on the man in front of them.

Kim Taehyung.

It was silent for a few moments. Silence hung in the air as the Soldier's gave each other glances that could either be read as happy glances or intimidated glances.

"He's perfect."

Jungkook cocked his head.

"Perfect for what?"

"He'd be a perfect hwarang soldier."
