"you're settling in okay, right?"
"yes, unnie. i'm doing just fine," i chuckled, trying to balance my phone between my ear and shoulder as i settled down my box.
"okay, well, don't hesitate to call me if you need anything, okay? i may thirteen hours away, but i promise to be there."
"i know, i know. trust me, you'll be the first person to know if something is wrong," i smiled, even though she couldn't see.
"alright. i'll let you get back to unpacking. call me soon!"
i bid my goodbye before hanging up the phone. i let out a sigh, placing the phone on my empty nightstand. i plopped on my empty bed, staring at the blank ceiling.
it's been a long while since i've been back to korea. why did i even choose to go to college here? almost all of the other girls chose a college in europe or america, and yet something brought me back here.
i sat back up, pushing my hair out of my face. i got a tiny studio apartment right by my campus. it was small, but manageable. it's not like i had lot of things with me anyways. i stood up from the bed, and started unpacking my few boxes, just to get everything organized and put away.
after a couple hours, my apartment looked slightly more furnished and my boxes were empty. i glanced at the clock and saw it around six, which meant dinner time. i decided to head to the near convenience store and pick up a few groceries and maybe see if they had some type of bento box i could eat for dinner.
that was one of the things i missed about korea; the food. the american convenience stores seriously paled in comparison to ones in korea.
i was browsing through the aisles, looking through the different type of bento boxes. i grabbed a couple banana and strawberry milks, placing them in my shopping basket. i continued looking through, trying to pick some snacks, when i heard the front door bell ring. the people walking in were making a large commotion and i glanced over, giving a subtle glare at their blatant obnoxiousness.
i almost dropped the chip package in my hand when i recognized the couple standing in front of the candy section. my heart was beating a million miles and i felt like i couldn't breathe. with shaking hands, i placed the chip back where it was and made my way to the register, keeping my head down.
it seemed like they were occupied with whatever ridiculous task they had to do with the candy aisle, so i made my escape after paying for my stuff and quickly ran out of there. it felt like rocks were lifted off my shoulders as soon as i stepped outside.
even after all those years, i was never able to escape him. he was always in the back of my mind even though i didn't want him there. i tried so hard to get rid of him, and yet he was always there. and now look who i see as soon as i come back to korea, always ready to haunt me.
that damn jeon jungkook.

hi guys!! it's been three years since i've finished freshmen which i think is crazy, but idk why i never decided to write a sequel. even though the btsvelvet high school series is discontinued, i feel like i needed to give some closure on how jungkook and yeri's story ends, so here we are with them as freshmen again, only this time in college!!
i hope you guys are as excited as i am for this series, and i'm planning for the chapters to be relatively short, so hopefully i am able to update more often.
hope you have a good day/night!
