Chapter 2: An Interruption To My Normal (ish) Life

I do not own any of the max steel characters, only my own made up characters for this book and maybe series. Constructive Criticism is welcome, hate is not. I'm sorry this will probably be rubbish, like just generally but please remember this is my first time and I'm rusty, since I usually draw and haven't written in a while. One more thing before you continue to read, I have trouble with keeping my tenses correct, despite literally being English, so therefore having English as my first language. It's just a problem i have because I think so fast the rest of me can't keep up. Let me know if there's any issues. Anyways, thanks and enjoy! Chrystla Xx

Christie's POV:

Sighing, I deposit myself into my seat, annoyed to be dragged away from my mates by the bloody school bell, and I begin my Computing Science class. All of a sudden, I become uncomfortably clammy and I start to sweat loads and sway in my seat. Nausea and fatigue wash over me and I have no idea why. It's like a warning for something. A warning for something terrible that's going to happen. My computing partner turns and notices me becoming faint and dizzy and calls over our professor who was helping another student. ugh, I don't feel so good. I try to force the words out my mouth but they only come out as a slur. It's like I'm having some sort of panic attack. My breath is shortening. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I see a blinding light from outside. It blazes across the sky, then as quickly as it appears, it disappears. I still feel sick, more so than before and my vision is blurring and wavering. Maybe my so-called abilities are fluctuating? Oh no. I'd better not shapeshift or something, in front of the class. The Minders would NOT be happy about that.

"Christie? Earth to Christie? Are you alright? Do you want to leave for some fresh air?" a voice which seems to be across an ocean calls out to me, probably my professor.

"Y-yes that's probably a good idea," I whisper, each word a massive struggle.

I haul myself slowly out of my chair, out my classroom and walk down the corridor and outside for some fresh air. There's another blinding light just as I walk out of the building. Glancing up, I see something in the air, whizzing around like it's panicking or something, then it just stops. Dead. In front of me. I just gape. What is it?

I hear it say something but still being confused and unsteady, I can't tell what it is or what it said. Something about a terrible danger and running away and changing. Then it flies at me and hits me in the chest. And I feel myself hit the ground and blackout.

Unknown's POV:

"Commander Forge!" I shout, "We have a problem!"

"What could possibly be wrong now?!" Commander Forge yells back.

"Ch..chief, you know that parallel universe theory I.. I mean we, were investigating?" I utter.

"Yes, what about it?" he replies.

"Well, he has found out about it, and he's somehow gotten hold of the tech that could make the travel possible. And he's used it to travel through. The theoretical universe is not only real, but he's gotten through, along with his army..." I squeak.

"You WHAT?!" Forge screams. Quickly, he grabs the mic next to him. "N-Tech, we have a problem."

Unknown 2's POV:

I am not really sure what just happened, but I think I have ultra linked with the correct human. The human female with supernatural capabilities who will be able to protect me. At least now I am safe from the Creator's wrath for my betrayal. I hope I haven't killed her though. She isn't waking up yet. I think I can gain access to her mind to find where she lives and take her to safety, at home.

I'm not sure how she will react once she finds out that she is ultra linked. Or that she's stuck with me; Firehive x225 of the Titan Class of Warrior Ultralinks.

Firehive x225, Titan Class POV:

I really hope she is okay. I think I'll be able to take her to her home, wherever that is, so that she may rest.

Commander Forge's POV:

"Max?" I call out. 

"Yes, Uncle Ferrus?" Max replies.

"I need to talk to you about something very important," I say as I walk toward him.

"Okay, what's going on?" Max asks, sitting down.

I sit myself down next to him and start to explain away about the Parallel Multiverse Theory that we had been investigating and all that has happened until now, and what we need him for and why.

Max's POV:

I am shocked. Parallel universes? Makino is back? Invasion? Jumping through spacetime rips? Supernatural humans? This is all sounds like something out of a cheesy sci-fi movie.

"I don't see why you're surprised about supernatural humans Max, you're literally half-alien, the embodiment of cheesy sci-fi" Steel scoffs, my ultralink and best bud.

"Yeah but Steel, this girl that Uncle Ferrus was talking about, the one that's been ultra linked with one of a new class of ultralinks, she apparently has an extraordinary level of supernatural ability. So much so that she also apparently rivals us. By herself. Which is pretty scary not gonna lie" I reply.

"Buuuttt she hasn't had any sort of training probably, and we've had loads and loads. Too much if you ask me. No one can beat the great and powerful Max Steel," he jokes.

I can't help but laugh, Steel can be so weird and silly sometimes. Then I remember, this girl, what did Uncle Ferrus say her name was? Christiana, was ultra linked, with a new class of ultralinks. Chances are, that ultralink isn't 'faulty' -to quote Makino himself- like Steel and is still bent on universal domination, or I guess at this point, multi universal domination? Does that mean we'll have to battle her?

"Maybe," says Steel, since I seem to have forgotten he can hear my thoughts.

I frown. I don't want to battle this girl, Christiana, because I don't want to hurt her. She sounds like a nice person. But, if it means saving reality, then I will fight her with all I've got, to stop her and especially Makino.

My mind filled with thoughts, I begin to walk back toward Berto's lab to continue skateboarding with him. 

Annnnd that concludes Chapter 2 of this story that I'm writing without much checking because I know my grammar should be alright and that I will lose motivation to keep going if I leave it too long. So yeah. Idk why I've done this to myself, with all the homework I have but I hope you all will enjoy it. I can't sleep so I'll probably write up Chapter 3 maybe even 4 but just so you know, I will check through chapters at points, and edit them, to update them, and to change stuff I don't like or if i find better synonyms to replace words with. This is all new to me so I'm kinda just going with whatever my brain spits out onto the page lol. Anyways
