i am so so so so sorry I haven't posted on time. I've been insanely busy from homework and anytime I've been writing this chapter up, something has been in the way and prevented it from continuing. I will probably not be able to get a chapter out tomorrow, i don't know. Apparently we're going to the beach again so I'll bring my notebook and I'll see how it goes. Thank you so much to those that are putting up with annoying ol' me. This chapter, I had very little inspiration for due to it being so cut up in my time, so please expect it to be really really rubbish. I don't like this chapter at all except from the last few paragraphs or so. Please bare with me. Thanks xx

Christie's POV:

As I begin to stir from my slumber, I realise that I'm in a completely different place.

Hm, I've moved. But where?

As I get to my feet, I remember that I'm a fox now; I also hear Flare yawning in my head, obviously arousing from her nap too. Going from being in a deep state of sleep to arising quickly and moving around on all fours is never a good idea, but I need to get my mind going, to remember what my plan was before I got too comfy in Max's arms and dozed off.

Welp that sounds weird. Hm, what was it? Oh yeah! I was going to find out what N-Tech know about me, what's going on, and why they're here of all places.

My mind begins to collect together then I realise I don't have my laptop with me. Hold on. I think I had my backpack on before I morphed.

Hey Flare, can you quickly scan the area to find a safe, well-hidden place for me to change into my human form real quick?

I hear her yawn again,"Uaghh, sorry. Sure. I think this is the temporary N-Tech base that they were setting up so it might be a bit hard with all the N-Tech soldiers around."

They seem to be all set up, how long were we out for?

"Erm, about 13-14 hours I think-"

You WHAT?!

"I check the time, it's the next day."

Oh God. My family will be wondering where I am. I'll have to tell them I got caught up in something with Hanah and Josh, so I ended up staying over to study or something, oh god, I panic.

Anyways, come on, let's find a close place to hide so I can check to see if I have my laptop or not!

"Okay, okay fine. There's a room down the corridor from here with not an inch of security nor any cameras. Nothing."

Straight away, I march toward this room to find its a broom cupboard. Perfect. I waltz straight in there, transform back into my person form and close the door. As quick as lightning, I throw off my backpack and take out my laptop, luckily there're no scratches

(A/N, I can't say the same for my poor laptop. Only about a year and a half old and I have managed to crack the bottom corner of the screen caus it's a touchscreen, and I've scratched the outside and bottom plate farrrr toooo much. My dad is still pissed about it.)

Logging in, I quickly change into a fox, this time a more adult version, to check if anyone's nearby and also to unlock my laptop. It has a double biometric lock so even if someone gets a copy of my fingerprint, they also need me in my adult fox form to unlock it. I let my laptop scan one of my paw pads and then the screen lights up with all my different algorithms and programs and notifications from not using it in a while. Changing back into a human once more, I look through and find the algorithm I'm looking for: My firewall hacking one. Like the Turing Machine, it -at unbelievable speeds- whizzes through all possible codes or passwords then tells me if it's found one that might work. It's very efficient and usually very quick, though I expect that N-Tech may have some files encrypted so I'll have to try to get through that extra security as well. If I can.
