Ali came back the next morning, waking the others up. That surprised everyone, the girl usually was quiet and careful not to disturb anybody else.
"We need to leave. Now. Grab your things, we have to be out of here in under two minutes!", she ordered loudly, as she began to pack up all of their spare clothes.
"What's the matter?", Ryth asked carefully, as he began to help cleaning out the place. Everyone, except Ali, were throwing each other uneasy glances.
With what Alistor said next, all of her friends were on edge, and quick to pack up what they needed:"Someone told the police. They'll be here soon."
Just a minute later, they left the cabin quickly and carefully. It would have taken Ali less than a minute to be on the other side of the forest, but her friends weren't that fast and so she tried to stay calm and match her speed to fit the others.
About ten minutes later, they stopped at a clearing. Ali was anxious, but nonetheless stopped her friends.
As she pointed up, she explained:"We can live in those trees, we'll just have to modify the space between the branches with wood and blankets. But no one ever looks up."
The others nodded in agreement, as a loud bark sounded through the forest. All four teenagers were startled, and Ali quickly demanded for them to climb up. As her friends were in the trees, she threw them the packets of clothing, food, and the few books they took along.
Before the girl had a chance to climb up too, someone yelled:"Hey girl, what are you doing here?"
Alistor snapped around and saw five startled officers and two dogs. The officials clearly knew what she looked like. A part of the legendary monster.
"Are you alone?", another officer asked carefully, as Ali watched them glancing around the clearing uneasy.
"I live close by, and am on my own", Alistor replied angrily.
"But the only building around here is that cabin, and that is said to be haunted", the officer that first spoke remarked, he sounded unsure.
Ali didn't reply, and as the cops started to quietly talk about her, she could hear every word.
"You're under arrest", said a female officer with blonde hair," You look like one of the people that were reported at night."
Ali groaned, as she heard Tae whisper:"Don't let them take you!"
"It's just gonna be the same idiocy again, as seen with Brooks", she replied loudly, causing the officers to be confused.
An older looking man, probably in his fifties, took out handcuffs. "You'll come with us", he said calmly, as he took a step towards the girl.
"What did I do?", Ali asked as he came closer.
"Give me your hands", the man demanded, as he stood right in front of the girl.
Ali sighed and replied:"I will come along, as long as none of you touch me, the dogs stay away, and you can forget about the handcuffs."
"This is nothing to negotiate", the officer growled in response and grabbed Ali's left wrist.
He was quick, and just a bit later the girls hands were cuffed behind her back. She was obviously very unwell with that, but as soon as she heard Tae moving, she jerked up and yelled:"I swear, stop!"
"That is no way you should be talking to officials", the officer that cuffed her reminded, then took her by the upper arm, which made the girl flinch and bite together her teeth.
The man dragged her towards his team, where two other officers circled Ali and both grabbed her at each upper arm. Ali tried her best to stay calm, as they lead her along to a car.
She didn't say anything during the carried, and as they arrived at the station, she could have fought her way out. But she didn't want to cause chaos and trouble, she knew it'd get worse if she tried. They'd look for her, they'd be able to catch the others.
Just minutes later, the girl sat in a very familiar room- and felt as if she needed to throw up. The last time she was here, was with Taime. And Brooks.
Before the man that had arrested her could say anything, Ali pointed behind him and asked:"Who's watching?"
"That's a completely normal mirror", the man replied, as he sat down.
"It's not", Ali shot back," it's still the same."
"Have you been here before?", he asked, his interest now was peaked.
The girl nodded, then asked:"Why am I here now?"
"You've been reported to have threatened the lives of several teenagers, along with your friends", the man replied coldly and looked at Ali testingly.
"Interesting", the girl replied hatefully.
"Let's start with your name", the man began following his script.
The girl nodded slowly and said:"I'm Alistor" She didn't look at the officer, she didn't want him to be able to see her eyes.
"And what's your last name?", the official kept asking.
"I'm just Alistor, who are you?", the girl shot back, whilst still looking down at the wooden surface of the table.
"My name is Oliv Padlock", the officer replied," How old are you?"
"Sixteen", the girl groaned in reply and started to play around with the cuffs behind her back. She had enough of those.
As Padlock wanted to explain that she wouldn't be able to get out of the handcuffs, Ali had already put them on the table in front of her. She rubbed her wrists and sighed, then she pulled up her hair into a ponytail.
"You remind me of someone", the man said, Ali could hear that he tried his best to stay calm.
"Who'd that be?", the girl asked surprised and now looked at the man after all.
"There was a report about a girl called Elisa Waters, she was arrested because of homicide when she was sixteen, but escaped. That was a really long time ago", the man explained.
Ali's eyes lit up, as she laughed:"Right, I remember!"
"What do you mean?", the man asked distrustful.
