Virgil's P.O.V
Virgil groaned quietly, turning on his side slightly. He wasn't sure where he was or what was happening. The surface below him, which he assumed was the floor, was hard and cold. That didn't surprise him. What did surprise him, however, was the warmth that he felt engulfing one of his hands. Is someone holding my hand?
He shifted again, this time pulling back his arm that he didn't realize was stretched out. Upon moving, Virgil could hear hushed whispers. from in front of him. "Oh! He's moving! He must be waking up!"
The voice had a familiar calming tone to it, but at the moment he couldn't quite place whose voice it was. "Virgil? Can you hear me?" A different voice asked.
"Wha-?" Virgil finally opened his eyes, blinking a few times to let his vision adjust.
He peered from under the door to see three pairs of legs standing there, seemingly waiting for him to come out. He tried getting up, but quickly settled for propping himself up on his elbows when pain blossomed on his forehead. After taking a few breaths he finally stood up, bracing himself against the wall when a wave of dizziness hit him. "Virgil?" The first voice, which he recognized to be Patton, called out to him.
He finally reached out and unlocked the door. He didn't have time to open it himself because as soon as it made the familiar click, a worried Patton pushed open the door. The worried boy's gaze immediately fell on Virgil's forehead. He let out a dramatic gasp, his hands flying up to cover his mouth. "Padre? What's the- oh my."
Virgil glanced behind Patton and his eyes widened to see Roman and Logan, who stared back at him with horrified expressions. "Why are you all looking at me like that...?"
He reached up to feel his forehead, only to quickly retract it with a hiss of pain. "That's quite a big bump on your head, Emo." The dramatic boy commented, slightly shaking off his previous expression.
"Not helpful, Roman." Patton snapped in a scolding tone.
Logan spoke up, "we should get him to the nurse immediately. Like Roman said, that is quite the bump. There they will be able to help him and make sure that he didn't sustain too much damage."
The the other boys nodded, then began their trip to the nurses office. But they didn't get far because only after a couple of steps, Virgil fell forward, narrowly being caught by Roman. "Sorry..." He apologized after he gained his balance, "I'm just super dizzy right now."
With a sigh, the princely boy turned away from him stretching his arms behind him and getting on one knee. Virgil stared at him confused before asking,"... What are you doing?"
Roman groaned, seemingly annoyed. "You're just going to keep falling down so I'm going to carry you there so we can get there faster."
A look of surprise spread across Virgil's face. He's offering to carry me?
"O-okay..." He whispered, carefully climbing onto the other's back.
He spared a quick glance over at the other two boys as he wrapped his arms around Roman's neck. Patton had a look of pure joy on his face with a grin so large Virgil could probably count all the boy's teeth. Logan, as usual, had a look of indifference on his face mixed with a bit of what seemed to be impatience. Roman stood up, and they continued to walk until they reached a brown wooden door with a plaque next to it that read 'Nurses Office'. The boys entered, Patton holding the door so that Roman wouldn't have to drop the now sleepy boy in his arms. "Hello," the nurse greeted them, "what seems to be the-"
The nurse stopped, her expression turning panicked when she noticed Virgil in Roman's arms. She quickly stood up from her desk, beckoning for them to follow. Virgil's vision started to become blurry, despite how hard he tried to blink and rub the sleep away with the back of his hand. He felt himself being lowered onto a soft though slightly hard surface which he assumed was a cot. Virgil tried to focus on the voices around him, but eventually sleep overpowered his senses and he drifted to off to sleep.
~Time Skip to fifteen minutes later~When Virgil awoke, he didn't know where he was. He quickly sat up, then immediately regretted it when nausea hit him. Something cold and wet landed on his lap, causing him to involuntarily shiver. Two hands firmly grabbed his shoulders and eased him back down unto the pillow he'd previously been resting on. When did I fall asleep?
"Hello, Mr. Black. I see that you've finally woken up." A woman's voice said to him.
He glanced over to a tall dark woman, who he assumed to be the nurse. Without waiting for a response, she grabbed the icepack and placed it back on his forehead, sat down in a chair that was placed beside his cot, and began to speak to him again. "It seems, from what your friends told me, that you had a panic attack in the bathroom then bumped your head hard on the stall door. Do you remember that? How does your head feel now?"
Virgil blinked at her for a moment before replying, "yeah, I kinda remember. I feel really nauseous and dizzy right now. My head hurts, but not as bad as it did before."
The nurse nodded then stood up, turning away from him to return to her desk. But before she left she called back to him, "we called your parents and they are on their way. When they arrive, I believe it might be good to discuss the possibility of you seeing the school therapist."
