Simon was doing what the majority of the people in England were doing. Watching the news on the media, blinds drawn, door shut. Alone. The flickering figure on the screen was preaching the new rule: citizens could go outside, to parks and other non crowded areas, and interact with each other, 5 meters apart of course.
Simon sighed, it wasn't getting easier. Nights out with his friends were pretty much the only thing he looked forward to; more or less the only thing he could look forward to, given his busy work schedule. He hadn't spoken to them for a few days, maybe he should-
His hoodie pocket vibrate. He drew the paper thin phone out and squinted at the screen.Harry💄Charles

Feeling less like a couch potato in his jeans and black jacket, Simon made his way through the side streets of London. Cautiously, yet discretely, peering round corners in case a goverment official materialized.
He made it to the location with no such run in.
Thankfully.
The entrance, he was told, was at the back of an 'out of business' coffee shop. The bottom of the shutters used to cover the front of the cafe looked battered as though many people had done the exact thing that he was about to do, which they probably had.Harry had texted him all the instructions prior, then deleted all of them because you don't know who could be monitoring you. However, Simon did have the sense to write it all down on a crumpled post-it note, that was now stuffed in his back pocket. It was honestly like some sort of horror RPG. There were some bins in a side alley, emitting putrid smell that mixed with the stench of piss creating an wonderful scent that made him gag. He held his breath, rooting around behind them until hand brushed a smooth, cold surface: perfect. Simon drew out the object and headed back to the shop.
He forced the crowbar underneath the shutters and yanked upwards. It yielded easier that expected: given his lanky frame. He darted into the gap between the shutter and actual shop front, pulling the metal sheet down swiftly. Pulling out a torch, he opened the door.
He threw his crowbar onto a pile of similar looking objects before, he headed to the employee lounge. Upon entering the dimly lit area he saw bulky looking man sitting in front of a malicious looking scanner. He was holding an gun that vaguely resembled that of an antique .375 magnum but with a neon enhancer cobbled onto the front. This factor was making Simon have second thoughts; however the man had clearly seen him as the unstable weapon was aimed at his head.
"Ha, umm, i-is this NE-cromancy" he managed to blurt out.
The man held out his hand, revealing a small chip. Simon unzipped a pocket, took out a card and with trembling hands swiped it against the chip.
The man cautiously lowered the gun and pointed to the scanner. When Simon didn't move, he grabbed his shoulder and shoved him into the scanner. A mechanical metal arm extended and grabbed Simon's, sending a small electric pulse through him. The machine beeped for a minute before emitting a 'ding' and a green light flickered into focus. The wall in front then began to move revealing a long stairway with crazy lights illuminating the bottom. He stole a quick glance behind him at the bouncer, who was standing arms crossed looking at him with him with a belligerent expression.
Simon quickly descended the stairs and got to the entrance of the club. He swung open the door to reveal a very industrial nightclub with strobe lighting and insanely loud music. He made his way over to the bar, trying to see Harry. A hand tapped him on the shoulder.
"Made it past the bouncer then" yelled Harry, trying to be heard above the noise.
"Only just, pretty sure he could've snapped me in half" Simon shouted.
"Ha, I have no doubt", Harry downed his drink and leaned over the bar. A brightly coloured shot was then placed in front of Simon. "This round is on me".

After a few hours, Simon was completely smashed. He didn't know what was in those shots but hell were they strong. He was so far gone, that he didn't notice the small metallic specs being added to his glass.

I promise the pace will pick up.
I hope you're enjoying thus far
