—Anne are you one hundred percent sure? —
—That's what I'm saying Stella. I saw it with my own eyes. Robin was also there. We both heard him laugh!—
—When was the last time Harry laughed?—
—I can not remember it. It was a long time ago, when He was a little kid .—
—People with the kind of problems Harry has evolve very slowly, if at all. But Harry has shown tremendous evolution over the past two months. Have you had anything to do with it?—
—Unfortunately not. I don't know how to help my own son. He did it all on his own.—
— I'm not so sure. Do you know what made him laugh? —Anne was silent for a few seconds. Of course she did. she knew. —Anne? —
—He did. —
—Who? —
—The boy of the CDs. —
— What do you know about him? —
— Not much. He works at the mall. Harry goes to that store every Saturday. Apparently his name is Louis. Last Saturday, because of a change in plans, he almost didn't go. I could have sworn he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
—Do you know that boy?—
—I only saw him a few meters away. And I heard him say some nonsense. He doesn't seem like a bad person. —
—I think we're adults now, and I don't need to tell you that Harry is extremely interested in that boy.— Those words were like a bucket of cold water.
She had long suspected it, but she needed someone to confirm it, and it did. Still, she would support him no matter what.
—I thought so,—sha said letting out a sigh, —what do you advise me to do?—
—There's not much to do. It is more than clear that if Harry progresses it is due to his will power, which requires the incentive. If you took away the incentive, it would probably be back in the initial state or even worse. Try not to let that happen.
—Yeah alright.
The next day Harry was hesitant, about going to Louis' lunch break or at the end of his work shift. A week ago after his job it had been the best experience of his life, but he didn't want Louis to go hungry again because of him. On the other hand, he wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.
But he also didn't knew if Louis would want to spend time with him when his job was done. He had so many possibilities going through his mind; but he finally decided to go around five in the afternoon. Hoping I would have had lunch without him. Giving him the opportunity to invite him to spend time with him at the end of his shift. He was risking an insured lapse of time in exchange for something better that he wouldn't know if it would happen. But he felt the need to. About half an hour before the store closed, Harry entered through the door. Louis smiled when he saw him and looked away until the boy was almost in front of him.
—so... — he looked at him amused. —Will you admit that a man with a mustache counts as an animal?— Harry smiled dimples showing.—Never,—he replied, smiling.
They exchanged a couple of banal comments and made the purchase of the CD. At least Louis didn't look hungry, although he was a little more tired than usual. Harry took the bag with the purchase and squeezed it hard, maybe what he expected just wouldn't happen. He could hardly bear not spending more time with him or Louis not wanting to.
—Well, see you later," Harry said, turning to the door, avoiding eye contact.
—Wait,—Louis said quickly, and Harry's heart seemed to stop at that moment, —Hmm. Do you have ... something to do now?— he said scratching the back of his neck. —I mean, my shift ends in about twenty minutes. We could go have a drink. If you want, of course. —Harry thought he would burst with joy right then and there. He hardly knew how to contain himself. He turned around and looked at him with his eyes filled with a special sparkle.
