I dropped Aj off driving back to my parents house. I still lived with them although I am in college studying to be a Physical Education Teacher. I've always loved being active and doing exercises so picking a major was easy. I pulled up to the gates in front of my mansion, waiting for the gates to open. When they finally did I pulled up the driveway parking my car in front of the garage. I grabbed my purse pulling the keys out of the engine.
"I'm home!" I announced placing my purse down on the couch.
"Hey baby, how are you?" My mom said walking in the kitchen giving me a tight hug. I smiled pulling away from her tight grip.
"I'm fine mom, but I'm leaving soon, because we're having a surprise welcome home party for Iyana." My mom shook her head she was never a fan of Andrea and Iyana she always felt like I was better than them. In her mind they were hoodlums.
"Well She decided to finally come see her child and that trash she calls a ex. I swear Monaè if I didn't know any better I would think you just like hanging out with them because you know I don't care for their ways." I laughed at my mothers stupid remarks. I walked upstairs rolling my eyes. This was the very fact why I didn't stay home often or talk to my mother. She wanted me to hang out with people like us, not my "hoodlum friends." She wanted me to date a nice,classy, rich boy, not a cute, funny, football player. Staying home led to arguments that I didn't need to ruin Yana's surprise party. I was running it and I had to be stress free and happy. Or well at least look happy.
I got into my room walking into my walk in closet. Searching through my clothes. "What to wear what to wear." I looked at my watch it read 3:45. Shit, the party started at six I only had a few hours to get everything done.
Lets get this night started.
