Chapter 1: Burning Mansion

I watched with my palms balled into a fist, an evil smirk plastered on my lips as I stared at the burning mansion in front of me. This was my goodbye gift to the new couple, with a heavy heart I turned around leaving my two years old child with those fiends. In my world, there was no secure place for a child.

Stepping over the unconscious guards, making my way towards the no roof jeep. I crouched down towards the guard, who was leaned against the tree in a sitting position with ropes tied around his waist, a cloth around his mouth and his wrist handcuffed together behind the tree.

"Here's the key," I whispered dropping it to his left, I knew it would be impossible for him to unlock the cuffs by himself and knew sooner or later he would return and uncuff him.

"Remember this for me, Edward. You can not find banana and apple in one tree, you can not have a fizzy drink with spoilt milk it will lead for you to vomit just like that you can not have two without falling ill." I watched his eyes narrowed in confusion, but I did not bother to make him understand I knew that him telling Zion would be enough and he would understand.

The loud crash made me turn around once again, watching the roof collapse and the smirk on my face dimmed into a thin line. The mansion I made home, the corners I had decorated with deep thoughts were now turned into ashes just like my love for him.

"Ahh." Escaped the man's lips who's neck was in my palms gripping it tightly, snapping my head towards him I let out a hiss of anger watching the weapon fall out of his grasp.
"Has no one told you, never attack Milan Rae. I am a beast, I can end you in a second little child but I do not have time for wanted posters of me plastered across the concrete walls of the town." I snarled at the young boy no older than eighteen or perhaps nineteen. I watched him drag his body against a tree letting me walk pass him.

"These trees will remind everyone of me- as the fallen queen of the De Rose Mafia Kingdom, those ashes will recall the memories and of the tears I shed and it will be a reminder of the betrayal made to Milan Rae," I yelled out aloud, my emotions dying along with the passing time. I turned towards the two conscious guards who lowered their heads, I was never meant to be here.

They say two people with the same personality should never be joint together, they would love deeply but it would always clash and cause drift. I created a proof of my love, but I guess my lack of submissiveness and strong rule amongst others made people see me as less of a queen.

Reaching the vehicle I was going to leave with, sliding into the driver's seat. My fingers wrapped around the key and hearing the car roar to live made a single tear roll down my cheeks. Appreciating the darkness, which prevented anyone to see those tears I once again shed for the man who betrayed me.

I do not forgive and I definitely do not forget!

Reversing the jeep away from the forest, I drove a few miles away I could still see the burning mansion from here. As I pressed the break watching the car roll to a stop in front of the mansion and the familiar couple stepping out, I watched my baby in his arms and I so badly wanted to wrap my arms around her but I knew I had too leave.

As if sensing my gaze I watched as his body shifted, his neck turning and facing me. Our eyes glaring into each other, determination held in each other's gaze but mine was not return and forever hate him whilst his...was a promise to bring me back.

Looking away, I sped away. A new beginning to being me again, leaning my back against the seat as the headlights brightened as I passed the territory of his kingdom. As I looked back, I promised that I would return to retreat my daughter but not until I had him begging at his knees in front of me in mercy.

I was no longer Milan De Rose... I was Milan Rae!
