I walk slowly in the hallways, trying not to make the pain increase by walking normal. I stop my locker and lay my head on it. I turn to see Roc coming towards me and I try to make myself seem normal. Ugh, it doesn't work at all. I smile and , "Hey." Roc holds my hand, "Hey. You okay?" I look away, "Yeah, I'm fine." Roc took his hand and pulled my chin up so I can look at him, "Don't you stand there and lie to me." He goes wide-eyed as he notices my reddened cheek. He pulls off my arm band-aid and notices how swollen my arm is. "Jahnny.. Did he do this to you last night?" I close my locker and look at him, "Yeah, it wasn't anything serious though. He tried to get in my pants but I got it under control. I made him get off me and-"
Roc interrupts me, "He tried to get in your pants?? Jahnique, I don't want you going back there tonight." I raise an eyebrow, "I'm sorry, Roc. But that's where I live. Where am I suppose to go?" Roc lifts my hand and kisses it, "You can stay with me.." I smile at him, "I don't really think that can be arranged. What if he finds out.. I don't want anything happening to you either. You don't have to do this for me Roc. I've been going at this for four years. I'm fine.." Roc presses his forehead to mine, "It hurts for me to see you look me dead in the eyes and say that. I'm going to try to make things better for you. I promise." And with that, he kisses me. Oh gosh, his kisses make me not want to pull away. Too bad I had to 'cause I heard three annoying jerks approach us.
"Well, look at what we have here." I swear I growled at them and Roc looked down at me and laughed. I chuckled and turned back to the three musketeers, "What do you guys want? I'm kind of busy." Ray steps closer and leans next to my locker, "Isn't this cute? Jahnique's found a new boyfriend." Prod puts an arm around Roc, "Don't get too attatched, bro. She'll probably find another boy by next week." Prince laughs, "Come on, Jahnny. You can't be-" I roll my eyes and interrupt him, "Come on, Roc. My girls are going to be in for a surprise." As I walk away, I hear Ray and Prod laughing. "Ahh man, bro! She totally acted as if you didn't exist." I smile in spite of myself.

My girls are squealing with excitement. Beauty holds my hand, "Yes, Jahnique! Finally!" Nique turns to Roc, "Roc, we can't tell you how long we have been waiting for this to happen!" Bri sucks on her lollipop, "Yeah, we all think you are the only one for her." I blush, "Okay guys. You can calm allat down now." Roc chuckles, "It's cute. Don't worry bout it, boo." The girls all squeak. "Boooooooooo!!" I shake my head. This is all looking so great for me. I wonder if everything will be alright from now on.. "Um, Jahnique Richardson. Come down to the office immediately." Looks like I spoke to soon..
