||So like this is my first X Reader I'm writing. So it may not be the best at all. Also the reader is a female. Also I might do a part two of this but as a UkaTake ship centered and the reader will be a like backgroundish character.||
~third person POV.~
Finding out that your mother was dead was hard on you. You had gotten the call from the hospital as you were heading to your club, saying that she wasn’t going to last through the night. Something a child should never hear at such a young age. You had rushed to the hospital and was able to be by her side in the last two hours of life. She told you about how your father lived in Miyagi Prefecture and didn't know that you existed. Something else someone never wanted to hear. The police contacted your father, Takeda Ittetsu. As a kid still in elementary school, you would have to move in with the next of kin. Your mother had passed after you met your father.
~first person POV.~
After the doctor's pushed me out of my moms room I sat in the waiting room and thought through all of the things that had happened in the past couple of hours. 'So my father never knew I existed? It must be hard on him as well, finding out you have a child and you now have to care for that child.' I was so in thought I didn't realize that the seat next to me had been sat in until a hand lightly lays down on my shoulder. Looking up I take in the sight of my father. He was different then I had expected him to be. He was semi tall and had dark black hair that was messy. He was wearing glasses behind which were soft dark brown eyes.
"He-hey there Kiddo." He smiles softly and looks down. "I….heh, I never knew that I had a kid, wow this is a lot to take in. Your mother, was someone I met while on summer break." He pauses. "If I had known she was pregnant, I would have done everything I could to be there for both you and your mother. This must be hard on you." He runs his hand through his hair and looks down at the ground. "I'm sorry that this is how we finally meet. But I'm still happy to meet you. My own child." He nervously laughs. "You know you'd think that being a teacher would make it easier to talk to you but I just don't know what to say."
I giggle and smile. "It's ok. I'm not the only one who is going through a tough time right now. Mommy told me not to cry when she goes and to smile. But it's hard. I'm going to miss her a lot." A tear slips down my face and I sniffle. The fact that mom is dead just hit me full force. I try not to cry but it overwhelms me and I sit in my chair and cry loudly. "Hey it's going to be OK. I'm here now." The soft tone of my father reaches my ears as I'm pulled into a hug. "Why did mommy have to go? It's not fair. First grandma and grandpa. And now mommy." I press my face deeper into my dad's chest and take in the scent of his cologne.(let's be honest. He probably wears those vanilla marshmallow SHITZ you can buy at Bath and Body Works!)
He rubs his hand up and down my back softly shushing me. "Sometimes really bad things can happen to the most amazing and best people." He replies and softly kisses my head. He pulls away and gently wipes my tears away. "Do you have any other family members?" I shake my head and sniffle slowing down my crying to talk. "Mom-mommy didn't have any brothers or sisters." He nods "that's alright." He smiles and wipes away the remaining tears. "I um heh….I talked to one of the police officers here and they understood the situation we're in so they are willing to escort me to your home so we can grab some clothes for tonight and tomorrow morning. I'd love for you to come straight to my house but there is paperwork and other things I have to do before that can happen. So tonight you'll be staying with a nice person from the government. Is that OK?" He awkwardly says while rubbing the back of his head.
I nod slowly and open my mouth to answer then close it and think. 'He never told me what to call him. Am I allowed to call him dad?' "Um….what about your wife? Don't you have to talk to her about this?" He looks down at me and starts laughing. "Why are you laughing? It was a serious question." I huff and look away. He stops laughing and signs softly. "I don't have a wife. Or a girlfriend for that matter." I look back up at him. "So it's only you? Don't you get lonely?" He smiles and ruffles my hair. "Sometimes it does but that's what my friends and family are for." "Family?" My eyes widen in curiosity. "What are they like? Do I have any uncles and aunts? What about cousins?" He laughs lightly again. "Yes you do have an aunt. And two cousins." "I can't wait to meet them!" "I can't wait for you to meet them too."
~timeskip one week later~ ~Third person POV.~
"....yes thank you. I'll be at the front of the high school to pick her up. Thank you so much." Takeda hangs up the phone and looks at the time. "The bus should be here in about ten minutes. Then I have to head to the gym for the remaining time of the team's practice." He stands up and gathers some papers, clipping them to his clipboard before making his way to the front of the school grounds. As there are a few minutes left until the arrival of the bus he continues going through the assignment he was grading before coming down here.
The bus arrives and soon (Y/N) hops down the stairs of the bus and runs over to Takeda. "DADDY!" the 11 year old girl yells as she stops in front of him. He smiles and bends down to her size and gives her a hug. "Hey there kiddo! How was your first day back?" She hugs him back and shrugs. "It was OK. Everyone made me a card to make me feel better." "Well that was nice of them." Takeda stands back up. "Come on, let's go. Remember that I told you I have to watch over a school club?" (Y/N) nods (H/L) (H/C) waving with the motion. "Mhm, you said that after I get off of the bus we have to go straight to the gym. And to be careful when going into the gym because there may be a ball flying in the direction of the door." Takeda smiles and nods. "Good job remembering. Now let us be on our way."
~Takeda's POV.~
I smile nervously as I lead (Y/N) to the gym where the volleyball team was practicing. I hadn't told the team the reason why I had been out all last week and about being a father. When I had talked to the coach that first night, I just told him that a family emergency had come up and I wouldn't be in school for a few days. Seeing the gym come into vision I stiffened up a bit. Looking to my side I smile and relax. 'They will be OK with her joining, right? I hope they do.' "Alright the gym is right up ahead. Please enter behind me that way you don't accidentally get hit by a ball." The (H/C)ed girl looks up and nods. "OK, I understand." She moved to stand behind me and grips my shirt lightly. I give her one last smile before getting to the two steps leading to the gym. Walking into the gym everybody stops what they're doing.
A chorus of "hey sensei" fills the room and the grip on the back of my shirt tightens more. I nod and give a hello back before moving to where the bench is, setting down my clipboard and turning to (Y/N). "OK you can sit right here or up against this wall." I jester to the wall behind her before a loud yell rings through the gym. "SENSEI WHO IS SHE? AND WHY IS SHE HERE?" The whole team soon gathers around the bench to get a closer look. "She looks like you sensei." Suga states taking a seat on the floor in front of (Y/N), who has sat down on the floor and placed her bag next to her. I smile proudly answering Suga. "This is (Y/N), my daughter." The team nods before Tanaka speaks up. "Wait, hold on. You have a daughter but you never told us until now, Take-chan?"
Daichi cuts him off before he continues. "He probably has a good reason too. And he doesn't have to share it if he doesn't want to." I shake my head and sit on the bench. "No, it's OK. And to answer your question Tanaka, I myself, only found out about her last week. Her mother passed away and I'm the only family she has." Hinata sits next to Suga. "That must have been hard to go through." He smiles sadly at (Y/N). "Hello! I'm Shōyō Hinata!" He sticks his hand out in front of the small girl. She shakes his hand and says a small "hi." After that the rest of the team introduce themselves with smiles on their faces. 'This is good, it'll be easier for me and her to get settled in with them accepting her in with no problems.' My smile grows as I watch (Y/N) laugh with Tanaka and Nishinoya. 'I can do this.'
