After seeing the small girl with bright hair, I slowly turned towards my long mirror and compared our appearances. I found myself doing this very often, I compared my looks to other people's..I looked quite boring compared to the girl next door.

I would never tell anyone at my school I was insecure about my appearance, I'm known as the 'Perfect girl'  The one with good grades, looks, and popularity- but they would never really listen to what I had to say..they would just laver me in compliments and think that counts as comforting me..

I decided to stop pointing out every single one of my imperfections before I had a break down..again. I directed my attention towards the voice of my mothers that startled me-
"Ophelia!! Come down here, we've got guests!!"
I yelled out a quick 'Okay!' And made my way to my dresser, at the moment I was still in my sleep wear, so I searched through my drawers to find something else. I pulled out a loose white dress- it wasn't revealing and was comfortable.
I pinned my long blonde hair back with a couple clips- I took in my appearance once again in the mirror..

( With out the lip stick :) )I was quite pleased with how I looked and took a quick mirror photo and posted it on my Snapchat story, being popular meant I have to be active 24-7, it was exhausting

I was quite pleased with how I looked and took a quick mirror photo and posted it on my Snapchat story, being popular meant I have to be active 24-7, it was exhausting..

I quickly exited my room and hastily stepped down my stairs, carefully not to fall and face plant. As I reached the bottom of the stair case I see the same slightly older women talking with my mother about..mother stuff??? Next to the women is the same girl from outside, that purple haired girl..hmm-
I was snapped back into reality when I realised my mother was trying to get my attention.
"Ophelia!! Stop staring, it's rude" she says with a tone, I quickly come to my senses and realise I was staring at the girl..
"Oh-! I'm so sorry, I was uhh...zoning out" I stuttered nervously- great acting..
"That's okay, don't worry about it!"
The girl replied with a cute smile right after I finished speaking..after that we kinda just..smiled at eachother..I know- weird but it's like she caught my attention..
"Anyway- Ophelia these are our new neighbours! I want you to show Mrs Mondorios daughter around, please"
What she said was less of a question and more of a demand..
"Of course- lets go!"
I replied and turned back to the purple hair girl- I should really ask what her name is..
We made our way outside of my house and she followed right next to me, I decided to show her where Town was since it's probably the most popular place.
"So..Your name is Ophelia I'm guessing?"
Her high pitch voice said-
"Oh, yeah! I guess my mother explained that..What's your name?"
I replied. I guess it was natural she knew my name since my mother practically screamed it..

~ Chloe's POV ~

"Oh, yeah! I guess my mother explained that..What's your name?"
Her voice softly spoke, I don't want to sound dramatic but her voice sounded so angelic..it was comforting and soothing-
"Hello?? You there?"
Ophelia waved her hand in front of my face- I quickly realized I was spacing out and thinking about her voice..
"Oh- I'm sorry! Uh, I'm Chloe" I replied nervously while rubbing the back of my neck trying to ease my nerves..
"Hmm..Chloe..

I like it"
