When I woke up, I got kinda scared. I mean this was a totally new house to me, for like a minute. Then I noticed the Paris themed decorations and knew, I'm in Ashleigh's room.
I look over to where she's sleeps and notice that she's not there. I check the time. 7:42. Great.
I decided to go find her and tell her that I needed to get home before anyone notices, until I remembered that the new boy was supposed to be here at eight.
No one would possibly care where I was when the creepy new dude was arriving. Not even 7 year old Anna.
So halfway down the stairs, I decide that today me and Ashleigh could go do something fun for once.
"Hey Ashleigh. Wanna go get breakfast?" I ask as soon as I'm down the stairs.
"You're gonna go out in my pajamas?" She's asked.
"It's the new fashion what can I say, I look pretty spiffy." She started laughing, and I just frowned. That's so rood.
"I'm not kidding Ashleigh. This is the new style, because well I'm wearing it." I looked at her and she was giving me some weird look.
"Go get dressed Brooklyn and we'll go eat at the diner." She said rolling her eyes at me and I laughed.
I just nodded and ran up the stairs. Going through her closet- we were the same size- I grabbed her Sherlock Holmes tee and a pair of black skinny jeans. Then I picked up my brown combat boots and socks and tugged them on.
I then sat up and walked to her bathroom, looking at the mirror we cracked on the outside of the door and laughing before I opened the door. When I walked in, I grabbed the bag with the hair brush and makeup that I left at her house for times like these.
I first grabbed the bag and took out my brush and hair straightener- my hair is naturally curly, like think of how your hair looks after you curl it, yea that's my hair and I hate it.
After brushing it I take the straightener through it, after I'm done with that I grab my mascara and eyeliner and apply it around my eyes making my green eyes pop.
Then, I decide I look presentable so I walk down the stairs to where Ashleigh is.
"Took you long enough. Gosh." She beckoned me to follow her to her car.
Ashleigh was seventeen, while I was only sixteen. She always rubbed that in my face.
"Sorry. Wait Ashleigh where's my phone?" All she did to answer me was hold it up and shake it before handing it to me.
I took it and opened the passengers side of the car and sat down.
------------
When we walked into the diner, it was empty besides for a couple sitting in the corner."So what's going on at the orphanage today?" She asked while she played with her pancakes.
"Umm. There's apparently this new guy coming." She smirked at me for a second before replying.
"New guy?" She was still smirking, when she went to take a drink of her apple juice.
"Yeah, new guy, but apparently he's mentally not right. According to Martha, he thinks he can talk to and see ghosts. Crazy right?" She just laughed.
"Wow. The people you have to surround yourself with. But seriously, why don't they just put him in the asylum? It'd be easier."
"I don't know. I'm pretty sure asylums are for crazy ax murderers, not little kids who think they can talk to ghost. I mean he's probably some delusional ten year old." She just looks at me and we go back to having a normal conversation for a few minutes.
Then I decide at about eleven I should probably head back to the orphanage.
I pay the check and bid Ashleigh goodbye, and start walking to the orphanage.
When I arrive, there are cars and photographers everywhere. I didn't know they follow delusional ten year olds around.
I walk up to the front door and unlock the door with my key I always keep in the back of my phone case. I open the door and walk in quickly as the photographers closet to me try to run in quickly, but I shove the door shut as quickly as possible and I think I hit one of them in the face. Oops.
Sorry I don't care.
I walk upstairs to my room to see the room straight across the hall is open. I quickly walk over to shut the door thinking one of the little ones must've opened the door- no one occupies this room- but when I come to the door frame I see that there's boxes and a suitcase on the bed.
Just as I was about to turn around, someone comes up behind me and whisper in my ear.
"Darling, why are you staring into my room, there's this thing called privacy you know."
Quickly I turn around and look up to see a boy of about seventeen staring back at me. He has brown curly hair and green eyes.
"Who are you?" I ask still staring.
"I'm Harry. Harry Styles."
