I stared at the boy for at least a good five minutes- or maybe it just felt like it- before I remembered, he was actually real and standing there waiting for me to answer.

"Why are you here?" I asked not really thinking, and before he answered I realized, what other reasons would he be here other than the fact he's the new guy and he's an orphan just like me.

"I'm gonna live here, smart one. So if you'd kindly get the fuck out of my way-" at that moment I decided to interrupt.

"Everyone thinks you're crazy. I mean personally I do too. What kind of person says they can talk to ghosts?" I say before I can stop myself, but once I realized what I said I put my hands over my mouth.

He just glared at me for a moment before speaking.

"I don't care who you think you are or what you think of me, get the fuck out of my way before I mess up that pretty little face of yours." I looked at him and gulped. I slowly move out of his way, letting him into his room and without looking back, I quickly ran across the hall to my room.

I decided now would be a good time to watch Netflix and try to forget what just happened.

--------
When I wake up from my nap I realize that it's two in the morning. Wow, apparently I slept all day.

I silently get up and walk to the door deciding that I'm hungry.

I put my hand on the handle of the door and swiftly turn it and push it open. I walk across the hardwood floors of the house and towards the stairs.

As I almost reach them, I hear a scream from the room across the hall and then I hear something shatter.

I quickly run towards the door and try to pull the door open, and when it doesn't open, I figure that he locked it.

I knock on the door waiting for him to come open the door. After waiting a couple minutes, which were filled of me knocking on his door every five seconds, I finally heard someone get up and walk to the door, and the door being unlocked, before he finally opened it.

"What do you want." He said obviously pissed that I was here.

"Why were you screaming and breaking things? I mean some people were trying to sleep." At that he just furrowed his eyebrows and just stared at me.

"What are you talking about? I've been sleeping." He stated.

"But- but I heard a scream and then glass shattering. And it came from your room." I said, feeling stupider by the second. Was he really going to stand here and act like none of that happened?

Then he smirked.

"Well, look whose the crazy one now?" I just stared trying to find the right words to say.

"I- I- I'm n- not crazy!" I stammered then yelled. "Let me see the inside of your room then." I said looking at him, hoping I wasn't just hearing things, that I wasn't crazy.

"Fine. Go ahead look around. You won't find anything out of the ordinary." He said watching me as I walked in and looked everywhere for something out of the ordinary, and came up with nothing.

It was an ordinary seventeen year old boys room. Clothes everywhere, messy bed, and just.... messed up.

"Well, see anything interesting?" He asked while he looked at me, giving me the 'I know you don't so don't even try telling me that you do' face.

I looked around one more time before looking at him and before talking to him I clear my throat.

"Nothing I see nothing. Are you happy?" I asked, turning around to look at him.

But dear, you could see me if you just wanted to.

"Harry." I looked at him and the serious tone to my voice made him stop smirking and laughing and look at me. "What did you just say?" I asked, hoping he would take me seriously.

"I didn't say anything?" He tried to say but it came out more as a question.

"Oh. Okay. I just thought-" I cut myself off. Wow, this boy whom everyone says is crazy, is making me look like a lunatic and he's only been here for about eighteen hours.

You just thought what? That he said something? You foolish little girl, wake up.

I was shocked. I just shook off the words, it was just my brain messing with me.

"You know what Harry, I'm sorry. Goodnight." I said and before I turned around, his expression turned cold again.

"You should be sorry, you know people are trying to sleep around here." He said before I turned around and just as I walked out he slammed the door shut and I walked back to my room, consumed with the voice that I heard in his room.

You foolish little girl, wake up.
