~Nate's pov~

I can't sleep that night. My mind just keeps showing flash backs from my parents abusing me. As I start to daze off agin I hear a loud scream coming from Jess's room. I run up to her seeing her stir in her sleep, "it's okay wake up baby." I say calmly shaking her a bit. She doesn't wake up but calms down and her breathing goes back to normal. Right as I'm about to walk out the door I hear a faint whisper, "Nate can you please stay?" I turn around seeing worry spread across her face. I nod and walk up go her bed and lay down. She cuddles up to my chest, and I wrap my arms around her showing her safety and that I won't let her go. Those where my last thoughts I remember before we both go into a deep sleep.

~3 weeks later still Nate's pov~
Three weeks have passed sense Jess came to the foster center, we've got to know each other so much and I feel I've known her for years! I continue to sleep by her side at night because of the nightmares she gets...every night. but they disappear when I'm with her.

I've grown to have so many feelings for this girl it's crazy! She's so beautiful and very intelligent.

"Nate!" Mrs. Junes yells from down stairs.

"What?!" I yell back.

"Please come down here we have a visitor!"

Yay! Another visitor...people come in all the time to adopt but no one ever does adopt. I guess none of us ever look appealing to anyone! I reach the last step and see a man. He looks like he's in his last 20s or early 30s. He's a bit taller than me and has brunet hair with blond highlights.

"Nate, go tell everyone we have visitors, and to clean up a bit." I nod and head upstairs.

I tell everyone els what they have to do, but I still have to tell Jess. I knock on her door. She opens it and a smile appears on her face.

"Hi," she says.

"Hey, there is someone here looking to adopt and Mrs. Junes told me to tell everyone to clean up." Her smile drops.

"What?"

"Jess trust me no one gets adopted, don't worry okay?"

"Okay." She says still worried.
