"And that's how me and my greatest love met" I ended the story and my teenage daughter smiled

"Kung mahal mo sya mom—why didn't you chase him?" My daughter asked

"Alam mo anak, hindi lahat ng bagay kailangan habulin...lalo na kapag hindi mo ganon kakilala" I explained

"Edi si daddy? Love mo ba sya?" She asked

"No, I don't love your dad" I honestly said

Yes, I know it's the harsh truth.

Pero hindi ako yung klase na ina na paniniwalain yung anak na nasa happy family sya. Harsh and cruel—yes but that's how I raised my 15 year old girl.

20 years had passed... and here I am kicking alive.

"Eh asan na yung greatest love mo?" My daughter asked

"He's in heaven—he's with the angels and God" I simply said and I know that my daughter knew what I meant to say

She nodded and returned to her room to finish her homework.

Basically, her performance task was what is your mother/father's greatest love.

Their topic in Filipino is about love and I know mostly her classmates parents would say that they are each other's greatest love.

I once loved... and truly for Damien only.

Kinuha ko ang wallet ko at binuksan.

I looked at a picture in my wallet.

He's still handsome kahit wala na sya dito... I miss him—so bad I want to die just to see him.

After his death 17 years ago.... I kept dreaming about him.

I always see him and can even talk to him in my dreams.

Alam kong iniisip nyo na... baliw ako or what.

But I'm saying the truth.

Kaya excited ako palagi na matulog sa gabi and kapag maaga ako natutulog... mas mahaba ang oras na makakausap ko si Damien.

I married a multi-billionare.. and i'm not that happy.

The reason we got married is entirely and purely business. I'm a businesswoman—since he is in need of a heir and kailangan ko din yon.

We decided to get married and had two children—Analise and Ferchen.

Yung kausap ko kanina ay si Analise Hazel C. Monteklaro at ang bunso ay si King Ferchen C. Monteklaro—he's 7 years old

Speaking of... "Mommy, can we buy a toy car po?"

"Why naman anak, we already bought one last week diba?"

"But Evron has a new version of it.. and I want to have one too!" My bunso exclaimed

"Anak, learn to save money. Hindi lahat ng gusto mo ay makukuha mo. We can buy that toy unless you have 3 perfect quizzes" Pagkokondisyon ko

Napapout sya "Hm... okay mommy"

My bunso smiled and returned to his room.

"Knock knock!" Someone shouted

"Who's There!" I answered

"Your husband!" He shouted again

"Your husband who?!"

Bigla syang pumasok at nakita ko ang kanyang haggard na feslak.

"AKO TO DAI! Hello! How's your day?" He said at hinalikan ako sa noo

"It's fine, wala naman pinagbago." I smiled as I ready the plates for dinner.

My husband is... gay

I know, it's weird to have a "husband" who is gay. But in reality—I treat him as my friend not my husband.

"oy teh! May chika ako" He said while he sat down in the dining chair.

"Ano naman yun?—pero bago muna yon patawag muna sila Analise and Frechen" I said at pinatawag sa maid namin.

My two children came running down and sat.

"Welcome Home daddy!" Masayang sigaw ni Ferchen at tumakbo sa ama at niyakap ito

"Andito ka na pala Dad" My daughter smiled at her father and gave him a kiss

"Good evening my children" Ganito ang asal ng asawa ko kapag kaharap ang mga bata. Natatakot kasi sya na malaman ng mga bata na "gay" sya.

"Daddy! Mommy don't want to buy the latest toy car, can you buy it for me?" Naka pout na tanong ng bunso namin si Frechen

"Ano ba ang kondisyon ng mommy mo para bilhin ka nya non?" My husband asked

"3 perfect quizzes daddy" Naka pout pa rin si Frechen

"Then do that, bibilhan ka ni mommy" Kumuha ng pitsel ng tubig ang asawa ko at naglagay sa baso nya.

Dumating ang aking dalaga na nasa kusina namin kanina.

"Ma, ready na po yung dinner natin. Kain na po tayo!" Nakangiting banggit ni Analise

"Sige anak, Frechen! Daddy! Kain na tayo, nagluto si Lise" Tawag ko sa mag-ama

Sumunod naman ang dalawa at hinanda ko ang kakainin namin.

Tinuruan ko magluto si Analise nung sya ay 10 years old pa lang, and little did I know kinahiligan na nya ito kaya't gustong gusto na nya magluto and balak maging Chef in the future.

Nagpray kami at tsaka kumain, busog na busog kaming lahat sapagkat masarap naman talaga magluto ang anak ko.

After that ay nagpahindag ang mga bata and by 10:00 pm ay pinatulog ko na sila sa kanilang mga kwarto.

Hindi ko inaakala na ganito ako mabubuhay sa mundong ito.

Matutulog na nga lang ako, magkikita pa naman kami ni Damien sa mga panaginip ko.
