Chapter 6 : Calm Before The Storm

Standing outside the elevator was Kushida.

I had luckily began moving away from Kei's door, instead of standing there asking to be caught before Kushida came outside the elevator.

With my usual face, i just kept walking towards The elevator where Kushida stood.

Appearance was especially important in such a dire situation such as being on the girls floor as late as 10pm.

Kushida stood there watching me with a mysterious expression.

"Ayanokouji... What are you doing on the girls floor so late?" Kushida questioned me while watching my every moment.

Kushida was an incredibly perceptive person.

I knew for a fact that she was watching me closely and carefully, despite the fact she maintained her outside face.

However, it was impossible to gain anything from my posture or expression if your name wasn't God.

"I was busy in Horikita's room, she asked me to come over because she wanted to talk about the exam and we went overtime, after I returned home she called me again to mention something else" I stated plainly.

Fortunately for me, Horikita's room was on the same floor as Kei's, even if Kushida didn't believe me it didn't matter, because I'm certain even if she tried to call up Horikita to confirm it, Horikita would back me up.

This was largely due to Horikita now knowing I'm gonna be putting effort to help her reach class A properly now.

Unlike last winter vacation where she made me tell her to join the student Council infront of Kushida's face.

I also clarified one thing to myself.

I had left Kushida's fate up to Horikita completely.

I still believe she should be expelled regardless.

However that's a discussion for another time.

"Is that so? I don't believe you one bit, downstairs the cctv camera showed you standing in the corridor for quite awhile" Kushida said while moving closer, her mask cracking slightly.

She had apparently arrived while we were hugging and was unable to see Kei's hand.

I'm guessing she rushed up as soon as she saw me standing in the corridor willing to try and get whatever information on me she could.

Unfortunately for her, her rashness caused her to miss Kei's kiss.

It appears since Kei was in her room the whole time, she wasn't seen by Kushida through the cctv camera's.

This was great fortune.

Howver even if Kei was seen it didn't matter anyway.

"she seemed to doubt my cooperation so she gave me a good talking to for a while" I replied nonchalantly.

"Well whatever, you know Boys aren't allowed in girls rooms after 8pm right?" she smiled devilishly while she said so

"I know that, but my question for you is did you see me inside the room? I did tell you I returned home and came back did I not?" I stated.

I had thought ahead and anticipated Kushida's pattern of speech and had specifically specified I went home earlier before returning.

Since she did not see me inside the room this is something she cannot say with definitive proof I was inside a girls room after 8pm.

I had expected someone to be rash, for example a first year student entering the dorm out to get me, to quickly rush to the floor to try and get me in trouble.
