Yagami POV :

I remember it clearly.

My 10th birthday.

Growing up we didn't have much as a family.

Even so we were close together and were hardly ever apart.

I looked up to my older sister in every single way.

She was kind, outgoing and always the type to look out for others.

She had many friends who she cared greatly for.

I on the other hand didn't talk to many people and wasn't outgoing.

Because of this I was bullied.

And in a school hierarchy, the one being bullied is always the one at the bottom of the social ladder.

It was just human nature after all, to single out one person and assert your dominance.

This kind of mentality stems onto other people aswell.

Naturally to avoid being bullied themselves, other humans would also participate in the bullying.

This kind of pack mentality is inevitable due to the human desire to 'fit in'.

Particularly at school this is all one really has.

There social status and fitting is what they desire and strive to do.

Even if it means kicking other humans down.

This is why even if someone wanted to stop the bullying, it would never work unless they physically made the bullies submit, this is because they would just be bullied themselves.

The self conscious bullies will become fearful and resort to bullying the person opposing the bullying.

This is because this is all the bullies know, bullying to fuel their ego's when in reality, they are even more frightened then the person being bullied.

It is also ironic how the phrase at school thrown around is 'be yourself' yet barely anyone is themself.

Like the bullies putting on facade's to display themselves as 'dominant' when in reality they are cowards.

Now I have a question for you all.

How many times in class have you seen or heard the teacher say :

'raise your hand if you agree with point A, there is no right or wrong answer' or something along those lines.

Initially, the students may have many differing ideas as to which is the correct answer in there opinion.

However what the majority votes for or the popular or smart people vote for is what everyone else will vote for.

You'll see eyes darting around the classroom to see what their friends and other people have voted for so they can vote for the same.

The definition of beta sheep mentality if you ask me.

Not because they necessarily agree with the points .

But simply to fit in.

You don't want to get laughed at for being the only person to put there hand up for an answer do you?

This is simply human nature.

To want to be the same to be apart of something.

'if your not a bully become a bully so you can fit in and make friends'
