*At the hospital*

"Darnell, what are you doing here?" The nurse asked. "I came to check on y/n,"Darnell said. "Why?" The nurse asked. "...She's my sister,"Darnell said.

The nurse looked at you. "Last name?" The nurse asked. "James,"You said. The nurse sighed. "Where's Ashley?" Nurse Hayes asked. "I'm right here,"Your mom said.

"What's going on?" You asked. Your mom walked over to you. "Renée,"Your mom said, "Talk to me outside." They both walked outside.

*In the hallway*

"When did she come into the picture?" Renée asked. "Be careful now,"Ashley said, "That's my daughter you're talking about."

"I'm sorry Ashley, but two kids?" Renée asked. "The girls is mines,"Ashley said, "The boy is yours."

"He's your stepson," Renée said. "She's your stepdaughter,"Ashley said. "Does she know about her father?" Renée asked. "No, she does not,"Ashley said, "Because when he died. So did his fatherhood."

"How much does she know about him?" Renée asked. "Nothing,"Ashley said, "And I'd like to keep it that way." "Ashley?" Renée asked.

"What Renée?" Ashley asked. "...Does y/n know that Billy Baker is her actual father?" Renée asked.

*In the room*

"How've you been holding up for the past couple of hours?" Darnell asked. "Terrible,"You said, "Every now and then I'd get a sharp pain on my side, and it's bothering the hell out of me."

"Damn, that sucks,"Darnell said. "Yeah,"You said, "It does." "How long are you here for?" Darnell asked. "A week,"You said. "Wow,"Darnell said. You smiled.

"What took you so long to get here?" You asked. "...I just didn't want to seem anxious,"Darnell said, "So I waited a few hours. Went back to Jackson's, ate dinner, and then came here." You nodded.

"Are you feeling okay?" Darnell asked. You nodded. "For now, yeah,"You said. "Want me to stay here?" Darnell asked. "I want you and mom to stay here,"You said, "I don't want you guys at home, or at least not until I get out of here."

Darnell nodded. "By the way,"Darnell said, "Ty, Chris, Joyner, and Jack are watching the house. It's the least they can do since they don't want to come disturb you, and they want you to get your rest." You nodded.

"I heard that you got your heart checked out to?" Darnell asked. You nodded again. "I had a minor heart attack,"You said, "So they're keeping me on these electrodes until tomorrow." Darnell nodded.

"Are you hungry?" Darnell asked. "Actually yes,"You said. Darnell stood up. "Anything you want specifically?" Darnell asked. "A Pb&J, with some chocolate milk,"You said. Darnell laughed.

"Coming right up,"Darnell said and he left to go to the cafeteria. You looked at youe heart monitor machine, and it was normal. Darnell came back ten minutes later. "Here you go,"Darnell said.

"Thanks,"You said. You ate your sandwhich and drunk your milk. "Did you hear what they were talking about?" You asked. Darnell shook his head. "They stopped talking when I walked out and when I walked back,"Darnell said.

You nodded, and yawned. "I'll see you in the morning,"You said. "Night,"Darnell said. "Goodnight, I love you,"You said. "I love you too,"Darnell said.

Darnell went to sleep in the chair next to you, and you went to sleep on the bed. Your mom walked back into the room, and saw you both asleep. Your mom kissed both your heads, laid down on the couch, and went to sleep.
