You took off your shoes, and sat them on the sideline. "Why did you take your shoes off?" Jordan asked. "I get better grip on the ground,"You said, "It makes it easier to run faster."

Jordan nodded. "Darnell, Y/n,"Billy said, "Stand on the line, Jordan, throw them the ball, and whoever catches it has to take it to the end zone." You and Darnell nodded.

Billy tossed the ball to Jordan, and you and Darnell stood on the line. "Ready?" Jordan asked. "Yeah,"You and Darnell said in unison. "Go!" Jordan yelled.

You and Darnell ran down the field, turned around, and jumped into the air. Darnell caught the ball, and ran to the end zone. "What the hell was that?" You asked. "What was what?" Jordan asked.

"You curved me,"You said, "You seriously curved." Jordan smiled. "I wanted to,"Jordan said. "Why?" You asked. "Y/n, you're not putting any dedication into this anymore,"Jordan said.

"Seriously?" You asked. "Yeah,"Jordan said. You smiled a little, grabbed the football from Darnell, and you threw football at Jordan. Jordan caught the ball, and threw it back at you.

You groaned, walked over to Jordan, and looked at him. "I don't know about you,'You said, "But I can't deal with you anymore." Jordan smiled.

"You're very cute when you're mad,"Jordan said. "And you're very bitchy when you're acting like an asshole,"You said. "Ooh,"Jordan said, "Someone finally knows how to stand up for themselves."

Billy and Darnell stood there. "You're such an asshole Jordan,"You said. "Hell, Asher was right,"Jordan said. "Yo!" Darnell yelled. You looked at Jordan. "Right about what?" You asked.

"You really don't belong on a man's field,"Jordan said. "Are you kidding me?" Darnell asked. "Give me the truth?" You asked, "Jordan Baker, how do you really feel about me?"

Jordan smirked. "You're a bitch,"Jordan said, "Who joined the football team, and you ruined my life." You stood there in shock. "Jordan Baker!" Billy yelled, "I will not tolerate this! Apologize!"

"He doesn't need to,"You said, "I'm leaving." "What do you mean?" Billy asked. "I'm not coming back,"You said, "I'm staying in Crenshaw. I'm quitting the team." "Good,"Jordan said.

You grabbed your things, and walked to the locker room. Darnell looked at Jordan. "You should be ashamed of yourself,"Darnell said, "She's your sister."

"My step sister!" Jordan yelled. Darnell shook his head. "She's still your sister,"Darnell said. Darnell tossed the football to Billy. "Thanks for practice,"Darnell said, "It'll be the last time you'll be seeing us."

Billyn nodded, Darnell grabbed his things, and left. You walked over to your locker, and took your name off it. "You know,"Asher said while walking into the room, "The team will be mad that you left."

You looked at Asher. "What does it matter?" You asked while packing your things into your bag, "You wanted me to leave, right?" Asher smiled a little. "Y/n,"Asher said, "I'm sorry."

You zipped your bag shut, and put it on your shoulder. "You shot me,"You reminded, "So don't you dare try and apologize to me, because you are not forgiven." Asher nodded.

"We don't want you to leave,"Asher said. "Asher, you are a selfish bastard,"You said, "You don't want me on the team, you invade my house, hold my mother and I hostage, knock me out, and shoot me."

Asher ran his hand through his hair. "You're getting your wish,"You said while leaving, "So don't bother, you won't be seeing me anymore." You left the school, and Darnell was sitting in his car.

You put your things in the trunk, got in the car, and Darnell drove back to Crenshaw. You both walked inside the house, and your mom and Renee were in the living room.

"Where the hell have you two been?" Your mom asked angrily. "Mom-,"You said, but Your mom interrupted you. "Sit down,"Renée said angrily, "Both of you."

You both sat down on the couch. This is going to be a long night.
