IT'S ONLY BEEN a week into 2020 and frankly, Vera already thinks that this might as well be the worst year yet. Before, she'd been content spending her holidays on mundane activities like watching the New Year's re-runs of rotten TV shows and stuffing herself until she felt the nausea building in her throat, but this time, it's only been filled with her cesspool of a Twitter feed and far too many mentions for her own good. That was all thanks to Jonathan fucking Schlatt ━ once more, her current trending on Twitter podium was all thanks to him.
Vera cursed his name, not having the gall to admit that over the past seven days or so, the infamous Rajjchelorette incident had been burned into her mind. Admittedly, Vera had always found Schlatt ever-so-cute (that was as far as Vera was willing to go) at least in appearances. But, this? No, this was on another level of insanity. Not even his certain amount of charm ━ no ━ slyness could fix the wormhole they'd dug themselves this time. Those goddamned Schlera shippers simply couldn't seem to comprehend that there wasn't some whack love affair behind the scenes, and the mentally stable ones still hadn't stopped memeing about Vera's abrupt exit from the live.
Suffice to say, she was pissed.
"Stop thinking about it." Colette chided, brushing her short hair behind her ears. The sofa sank slightly as she joined Vera on the ripped leather, sending over a pitiful look. As much as she hated to admit, Colette wasn't wrong, but sometimes she simply wished Colette couldn't read her mind as well as a psychic. Vera couldn't even defend herself. "I mean it, Vera! You've got that crazy, spiralling look in yeh eyes. Look, I can't blame ya for overthinking, but don't ya think this is going a tad too far? It's kinda sad really ━ yeh getting yourself all worked up over some weirdo block character."
