Every night, the moon illuminates the dark depressing room. Every night, at the almost sync time, he turns his head towards the window to a suspicious teen. That same teen that used to filch candy out of the locked cabinets at the age of 11. The bluenette sat up quietly, not trying to disturb the sleeping boy on the top bunk. He watched the teen open the window, and leave the dormitory like usual. The bluenette would wait for at least an hour for the flaxen teen to come back. His curiosity struck him the moment he heard the window open. 'Why, why does he always do this?' He thought. Tonight's, the night he would finally get his answer, no matter how much he doesn't want to converse with the boy. The boy climbed out of bed, dragging his warm feet across the cold wooden floor. He waited until the flaxen haired boy climbed back into the lifeless room. And a wait it was; it's been nearly two hours as the younger teen waited. Feeling the drowsiness take over his body.
That night, the boy didn't come back. He did that at least twice, and never got caught. The day went by normal as the boy isolated himself from everyone around him. The sun gave perfect lighting for the boy that was reading the same book for 4 months and never getting tired of his favorite chapter, in the same usual spot on a bench under the tree. The book, the only book he could call friend. No, associate was more fitting for the boys taste. The page turned midway as his lighting has been rudely blocked by someone. The bluenette sighed and didn't look up, assuming it's one of his attackers that pick on him from time to time. "You saw me last night, didn't you?" The blonde stared down at him with a seething look.
"Maybe I've seen you do that every night, you shouldn't be doing that anyway."
"It doesn't matter what I do because I'm escaping this hideous place."
The words that rolled off the blondes tongue intrigued the boy. Leaving this orphanage was basically a request waiting to be granted. But he won't let the boy know.
"That's ridiculous, they have cameras all over this place. It will-"
"Work, yes, that's correct. You wanna know why blue head?"
The boy stepped closer, testing the boundaries.
"I left the dormitory, snuck around the building to make sure I could escape for at least two months now, that's when I faced the fact that I'm not going to be adopted."
"You don't know that."
That's all the bluenette could say. He knows very well the both of them are not going to be adopted. The blonde smiled smugly.
"Actually yes I do know. Just think about it; we're fucking teenagers now, no ones going to want some almost adult living at their house. I've been here for too many years and it's time for a change."
With that, the blonde left, without even saying how he's going to achieve this plan. What was his name? He left so much mystery for such a bright looking character. So much that the boy was piqued by the boys suddenly approaching and leaving.
That night the bluenette stayed awake, waiting for the teen to do the same attentions he does like those other nights. Mission achieved before he could passed out. The flaxen haired boy stared out the window with his hand in his striped baggy purple pajama pants pocket. "I know you're awake." The sudden sound of someone talking startled the boy. The boy at the window chuckled a little. The bluenette sat up from the twin sized bed, trying to hide the fact that he was sleepy. The blonde processed to go under his bed from the other side of the room. Shuffling noises filled the dark room. "Here." He tossed a bag to the boy across the room. For once in the small teens life, he caught something flying through the air. He stared at the bag incredulously as the smell of sweets invaded his nose, so sweet. He processed to open the bag, the only little light he had coming off from the moon showed a bag full of candy and a container. He reached his hand in and grabbed the small container like object. It's smelled just like chocolate. The inside of him smiled, but the outside masked it, only giving him the expression of not caring.
"How did you-?"
