That day, the sun refused to shine it's warm beam on the depressing orphanage. The sky howled in anger, causing the building to shake at it's aggressive vibrations. That day, the bluenette known as 'Ciel' has not seen the blonde teen for a whole day. Once again, his curiosity took over his concentration as he failed to read his 'special' book. He questioned himself about the platinum blonde. Questioning his sudden disappearance.
The bell rung, signaling supper time. It was a daily routine for the bluenette to head for the woods. In secret. The first time he did this, that was when he was 7. That was when this place was more stricter, more secured. He had this friend with brown hair and brown eyes. They would talk all the time like they were the happiest kids in the world, even though they could be the saddest. The brunette would follow Ciel everywhere, just like his shadow. At times when he followed Ciel into the woods, he would become so intimidated by Ciel's actions, but followed anyway. This went on for about a month. But one spring day, two wealthy looking adults walked into the building like they owned the place. Apparently they were here to adopt, and apparently Ciel wasn't good enough in their greedy eyes. But his friend, yes his friend with the brown eyes and brown hair were flawless in their eyes. He had fit the description for the perfect child. So they took him away, took him away to a beautiful house, a nice dog, big backyard, and of course two loving parents. Ciel isn't one to show emotions, but that day, that day he experience an new emotion called 'jealousy.' He hated the idea of not being accepted. Not being worthy of having a family.
That same day, a new boy joined the depressing orphanage. Not even a full week and he was being caught doing something menacing, and not caring for the consequences he will receive afterwards. His actions led him to the punishment room. Ciel never been inside, but every time he walked past it, he would hear crying. And he was positive that the sounds of whaling were not from the new kid. He knew that for a fact.
The thought of the kind of punishment they would receive gave the boys shivers. The new kid did more things to get himself in trouble, he was a troubled kid and giving harsh punishments were not going to fix his amateurish decisions. The boy, known as 'Alois.'
Being worthless was normal for the bluenette. He knew he didn't deserve the things he gets now, because in his eyes, he's as filthy and greedy as the rest of the people in the world. He's the reason for the incident that happened to his parents. He's the reason he attracts people to torment his fragile body.
He could bring up at least ten more reason to his unfortunate life, but once again the same boy he talked to the day before was standing above his small frame. Ciel was so caught up with his thoughts that he forgot that it was raining. He groaned and didn't look at the older teen above him. "Why are out here?" He glared at the boy below him. Another crack of thunder rippled through the air, but neither of them jolted by the loud sound that filled both of their ears. Ciel thought it was weird how it snowed yesterday and rains today. It was still very cold and neither of them wore a jacket.
"Why do you care?" Why does he? All the bluenette wanted to do was be by himself for awhile before learning was in session. "I asked you first." He had a scowl on his face.
Ciel sighed and decided to answer his nosy question. "Because I just wanted to be alone." He still didn't look up at angry teen. "I swear, you bet not get sick out here or you're going to ruin everything." Ciel finally looked up to see Alois rummaging through a bag. "Here." He gave the younger teen an oversized jacket. The bluenette hesitated and just stared at the item presented in front of him. Alois' gaze soothed a bit so the bluenette can have a little trust in him. "Its clean. Take it." Alois demanded. Ciel decided to take it. "Did you steal this?"
"And if I say 'yes?'"
Ciel huffed and put it on. "Thanks." Replied quietly.
The rain fell down from the sky even harder than before. "We could get inside before we both get super soaked." The bluenette nodded in agreement as they both exited the woods and back to the orphanage main entrance.
"A-Alois, aren't we going to get in trouble for just entering in plain sight."
"That's the point, sky." The older teen smiled smugly as they approached the giant doors to their 'home.' "Don't call me that." The bluenette said in his usual monotone voice.
"Why? It is your name." He pulled back the giant doors, but no budge. "Shit, I was too late." The flaxen haired boy said under his breath. He huffed, showing the frost that left his mouth in the cold air.
"Come on." His frown was deeper than ever. He walked off quickly, not really caring if the younger follows.
"W-where are we going?" The small teen tried to catch up to the clearly annoyed blonde.
He didn't answer his rhetorical question, he just told the bluenette to 'watch out.' Ciel was confused by his statement, before he could question him, he slipped and fell on ice. He landed while hitting the back of his head in the process.
The blonde didn't even laugh at the boy, he just stared and waited for him to pick his small frame up. Eventually he was back on his feet and catching his balance. "You could of helped me up." The bluenette said angrily. The blonde stopped walking and stood there. He turned his head toward to bluenette and walked in his direction.
"Listen here. You don't control me, so you have no right to tell me I should have done something! I told you to 'watch out,' now did you do that? No you didn't! If I didn't want to help you, then I won't. I'm not your butler... Let's go."
The bluenette clicked his tongue and followed the blonde once again.
They reached the other side of the building to a dormitory window they both shared. "Climb up here, the window is open." There was a wooden latter against the window. He nodded and climbed up the latter and into the window. The platinum blonde waited to make sure Ciel was in the dormitory safely before he walked off. "Hey! Where are you going?" Ciel shouted from out the window.
"I have business to take care of."
He began walking again but was stopped in his tracks. "Wait! Do you want the jacket back?" The bluenette knew better to ask the blonde again, but he notice Alois didn't have a jacket on and he was starting to get soaked. His hair fell over his eyes making his fully looking platinum hair to become dull without it's volume, but it did suit the boys face. "No, keep it. Don't let no one take it. If someone do, you come to me once I get back, got it?" He looked at the bluenette. Alois' icy blue eyes became dark blue like looking at a ocean at night, just like Ciel's color eyes. The bluenette nodded and left the window, leaving Alois to do whatever that menace does.
Ciel had mixed feelings about taking the jacket off. If he kept it on, he would get questioned, get a cold, and possibly get Alois in trouble. If he takes it off, then someone could take it. Ciel thought of the next best thing. Sense no one messes with Alois, he would put it under his bed. The bluenette rushed to get to his class on time like always, and always he sits in front of the class paying attention. During learning session the instructor doesn't ask where Alois is because he figures that he's in the punishment room.
It's been raining all day, and for the first time Ciel was worried about Alois. "Worry." A new emotion Ciel has felt today. It's 11:00pm and Alois still isn't back safely in their dormitory. Light from the lightning fill the dark room, followed by the sounds of thunder, causing the boy on the top bunk to jolt in fear. No one said a word, knowing that there's someone outside the door checking the halls and rooms. Since the blonde menace lives in this particular dormitory, they're always by this room. Making sure everyone is in check.
1:00. The rain started to quiet down a little as the bluenette's thoughts increased. Fantasies of finally being adopted, the life he always dreamed of, the love every kid would crave. But he knew the truth. The truth that that's never going to happen. No matter how much the somewhat emotionless boy dreamed.
That night, the boy didn't come back. That night, the younger boy decided to stay up all night and wait for the boy, which was a complete waist of time.
Two days have gone and past sense the younger boy has seen the blonde. 'Is he going to come back? Where did he go? How has no one asked about him? Was he dead?' The bluenette thought as he sat on the bench under the tree as the cold snow fell on the ground gently. He had on the oversized jacket Alois gave to him, black pants that are starting to get small in the leg area. He had his book in his right hand, but wasn't reading it. All the focus he had disappeared. He heard the bell ring 3 times, signaling supper. The bluenette would go to the woods but decided to go to his dormitory. He climbed up the latter Alois left and into the warm room with a dim light. He sighed as he walked to his bed in the empty room. He jolted once he heard someone fiddling with the door. 'Is it security?' The bluenette thought. The door slammed open, reviling a certain blonde head he hasn't seen in days. He had bruises and cuts all over the visible parts of his skin. He saw the boy on the and didn't say anything. The bluenette hesitated to ask, but he did anyway. "What happened to you? And where were you?" The blonde walked up the younger teen. "Here." He gave him 20 dollars. Ciel stared at it in disbelief. "H-how did you?" He was cut off.
"I know you have a lot of questions, but listen. Maybe in the future I can answer them. But I don't know you well, and I don't want you blabbing your damn mouth to people. One day you'll get your answer. But once again, today's just not that day."
He smirked evilly and walked towards the window. "Take good care off the money, alright." He went out the window midway. "Oh! And I'll be back tomorrow, I promise. And... I'm sorry." He said the last sentence quietly as he left the dormitory once more.
That same boy that filch from the locked cabinets at the age of 11. Took something more greater than candy. It was money. That boy stole money at the age of 15, with no regrets to linger in his mind. That boy, known as 'Alois,' was going to get into greater trouble than just cuts and bruises. No, he will not be receiving more pain to his pale skin, he will be giving it to the people that tried to harm his well-being.
It was a big mistake to take on the blonde, and the bluenette knew.
That day, who ever harmed Alois, will be getting a rude awakening.
