"i want to do something fun today, let's go out to the mall and do some shopping to decorate your room!"
his eyes unnoticeably sparkled, he'd never had his room decorated before

"yeah, after we eat this watermelon!"

"give me a minute i'll bring the watermelon back outside ready to eat!"
he nodded "mmh, okay"
"we really hit the jackpot with this one!! here take one"

akeno grinned, proud.

she didn't know what to say, she was taken aback, but him saying that, made her feel so happy, she couldn't help but smile widely

"yes"

"eh? they say that blue is the colour of trust, and white is the colour of hope, that's going to be your colour scheme for your room!"
toru nodded "mmh, okay"
"can you hold the paints and the bed sheets for me? i'll put the rest in a bag!"

"let's go home and paint!"
he nodded, taking the bags off of akeno, walking ahead
"hey! let me carry something!!"

"ehhhh?!"
"i'll carry it"
akeno pouts "..fine"

"which wall should we paint blue?"

he nodded "yeah"
"okay! can you open the paint?"
"okay"

"oh.."
the room fell silent for a short while, until akeno started laughing, almost crying
"you look like an alien!!"
"i'm human"
"you don't look it!!"
"that's mean"
"i'm sorry, ahaha! you just..look really funny!!"
he stayed silent
"look let me get a mirror!!"
passing toru the mirror, he looked at himself covered in paint, and began to laugh quietly, making akeno fall silent, shocked.
"i do look like an alien"
"you're laughing.."
he nodded
"you're laughing! toru you're laughing!! laughing!!!"
he nodded once again quieting down slowly "mmh, im happy"
"your laugh....it's so pretty!!"

she nodded vigorously starting to laugh a little herself
"it's cute! i like it"

she nodded her smile only getting wider
"let's get you cleaned up a little and start painting!!"
he nodded "mmh, okay"
after hours of paints spills, laughter, and silly mistakes toru's room was finally completed
"finally!! i'm beat!"
"me too"
"it looks great though!"
he nodded "mmh, i like it"
"let's go get some fresh air, it smells of paint"

they both laid in the grass peering up at the stars

he tilted his head to the side, only to find akeno fast asleep

he sighed as he patted his clothes lifting akeno, taking her to her bedroom, tucking her into her bed gently.
he finally took in all of her features he had failed to take notice of before.
"she really is beautiful." he thought to himself
toru sighed again troubled by his own thoughts, he got up and went to bed.

"let's go to a cafe!!"

"i want coffee!!"
"oh, okay"
"get your shoes!"
"okay"
"got an umbrella? they said it might rain!"
"oh, i'll get two"

"do you enjoy staying with me?"
he nodded, "its fun"

she sang, running off ahead, finding a cafe nearby, the bell rang as she opened the door.
"it smells great in here!.."
"it does" toru replied, slowly following behind
both taking a seat near the front window, an employee approached them
"is there anything i could get you?"
"two dark roast coffees please!" she handed her the money "you can keep the change~"
"alright, it'll be with you shortly"
the lady said smiling softly
"thank you!~"
toru looked at akeno strangely
"hmm? what's up?"
"you're really happy today"
"mmm, i guess so!"
"did anything happen"
"nope! just happy today, i finally feel like we're close now!!"
toru nodded "mmh, me too"
the lady walked up to their table holding a tray
"here is your coffee, have a nice day!"
"thanks!"
the lady smiled and walked away
"there's so many things i want to do, and i want you to come with me!"

"because you're my friend~"
"stop speaking like that you sound weird"
"ehhhh?! really? damn what a bummer.."
"where do you want to go first"
akeno's face lit up knowing that meant he agreed to go with her
"the beach! i haven't been for a really long time and i miss it there!!"
"when do you want to go"
she looked at him, and he knew it wasn't good
"tomorrowww??" she said in a pleading voice
he sighed resting his face in his palm

she hummed sipping her coffee
he fell silent for a moment before speaking
