tessa and josh are both 22 years old now and it's their four year anniversary.

"baby! are you ready to go?" tessa called to josh from the downstairs of their home. they moved out of the sway house a two years ago and they've been the happiest.

josh walked downstairs and stared at his girlfriend. "damn..you look," he paused placing his hands on her waist. "you look gorgeous."

tessa blushed and kissed him, pulling away after a couple seconds.

"anyway, are you ready?" she asked again. josh nodded and grabbed tessa's purse for her. "thank you." she slipped her hand into his and walked toward the door. celebrating four years was a huge milestone, many people didn't think they'd last long.

they settled into their car and josh began to drive to the restaurant, holding tessa's hand the entire time.

when they finally arrived, josh walked around to tessa's side of the car and opened the door for her. "such a gentleman." she giggled and grabbed his hand once again. the two, side by side, strolled inside the restaurant.

"richards for two please." he said to a lady who would be seating them.

the woman smiled. "right this way." she led the couple to a table for two in a corner of the restaurant. "thank you." tessa said, sitting across from josh. "did i tell you that you look so beautiful?" tessa blushed once again. "i think the word you used was gorgeous and also you look very handsome."

they ordered their drinks and food, but josh couldn't wait for what he was going to do.

tessa sipped the glass of wine she'd ordered. "tess, i have something to ask you." she set her glass down and locked eyes with her boyfriend. "okay, go for it." he grabbed her hand, careful not to spill any drinks.

"well, i'm not very good at this and i'm really nervous so i'm just gonna do it." tessa chuckled and let him continue.

"tessa, since the first day i met you, i fell for you so hard. you were the most beautiful girl i had ever seen," tessa smiled, feeling tears well in her eyes. "i couldn't imagine my life without you and now we've made it to four years! you've never let me down, not once. you're always there for me when i need anything. i just- i love you so fucking much. so here, in front of everyone here.."

josh let go of tessa's hand, slipping his hand into his pocket and sliding out of his chair. he got on one knee.

tessa covered her mouth with her hands and looked around to see a few people watching them, she met josh's eyes once again. "tessa faith dawson, love of my life, will you marry me?" tears fell onto her cheeks and she nodded happily. "of course i will josh!"

he slid the ring on her finger. she stood from her chair and hugged josh.

tessa pulled away slowly, tears still falling on her cheeks. "is this for real?" they both laughed. "of course it is baby." josh wiped her eyes, ridding them of tears.

"i love you." tessa said, placing a hand on his cheek.

"i love you too angel."
