hearing a knock on the door, tessa groaned. "liv!" she called for her best friend who didn't respond. the person knocked again, "i'm coming!"

tessa swung her legs over the edge of the couch, standing while pulling the sleeves of josh's hoodie over her hands. she opened the door only to be face to face with the boy she told her best friend not to contact.

"so you didn't already think i was worried about you, tess?" she shrugged and motioned for him to come in. she sat back on the couch and noticed olivia standing in the hallway closest to the living room.

"you're lucky he's here or i would punch you." liv laughed at the threat her friend wouldn't follow through on, even if josh wasn't here. josh sat next to tessa and olivia walked to her room.

"you know, you can talk to be about anything?" tessa nodded slightly. "i really just don't like worrying people with my problems." josh sighed and wrapped his arms around the girl next to him.

tessa laid her head on his chest. she felt calmer than before though tears stained her cheeks.
