Nine

We later arrived at Noah's after having a fun drive there just talking and hanging out. When we got there, everyone had already made it before us even Keith who's always late.

"What took you guys so long?" Ian asked greeting us at the door.

"Traffic, you know how LA gets," Shayne shrugged and walked towards Noah. I laughed and started to head towards Olivia when Ian stopped me.

"I thought you were coming with Olivia," he said

"Well, originally I was, but Shayne needed someone to talk to. See, he's really bummed out about being alone today," I told him

"Oh, yeah I get that. Okay, just making sure you and Shayne weren't...you know"

"Ian!" I smacked his arm, "It's not like that" I walked past him as he continued to laugh

"Your blushing face tells me something else," I heard him say. I shot him a dirty look and sat next to Olivia. She was looking down at her phone and texting someone.

"So, when are you going to tell Shayne you like him?" She asked not even looking up. I felt the heat on my face as I slowly looked in her direction.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked like I thought she was crazy.

"Oh come on, Courtney. It's the most obvious thing ever! Dont tell me it isn't one of the reasons why you wanted to ride with him," she said looking at me.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Yes. You've got to tell him! He's single, you're single. It just works out so well! And judging by the way Ian was picking on you about it I'd say he's fine with it"

"But what about everyone else? I mean, what if it's weird for them or even Shayne?"

"Are you kidding? Literally everyone in Smosh ships you guys. Even Damien wants you and Shayne together. Go for it, girl!"

"God damn it. Alright, I'll think about it, but no promises"

"That's good enough for me," she smiled down at her phone. I noticed she was texting Sam. He said something goofy and that he was on the way here. I sighed and laid back on the couch and my eyes locked onto Shayne. He was standing there talking to Damien. Damien was wearing his My Hero Academia shirt with that big muscular guy on it. I forgot his name already. Shayne was laughing at something he said and I couldn't help but smile at him. He's just so amazing. Olivia caught me staring and waved her hand in front of my face. "Oh, you're so in love"

"Love?"

"You've got those heart eyes!"

"My eyes can't physically be hearts, Olivia. This is real life"

"No. Not literally. I mean the way you look at him just shows that you're so in love with him"

"I'm not in love with him. It's just some feelings is all"

"I don't know. Something tells me that you've had hidden feelings this whole time"

"Hidden feelings?"

"Yeah, maybe the fans weren't just pointing out Shartney moments. They were pointing out things they noticed about how you look at him"

"Hidden....feelings"

"Court?"

"Huh? Oh yeah that would make sense I guess"

"He's right over there, Courtney. Now's your chance," she pointed right at him. He was alone this time and was looking down at his phone with a red cup in one hand. My nerves were like lava in a volcano right now. There's no way I can do this. Olivia pulled me up and pushed me over towards Shayne. He looked up and smiled at me. A smile that I got lost in.

"Hey, Court. What's up?" He asked. I didn't say anything. I opened my mouth to, but nothing came out. "Courtney?"

"I...h...u-ummm...y...I need to...ah...Shayne...uh," my face was on fire right now. I couldn't see it, but I could feel the burning redness that my face was. He had a look of concern on his face. "I...need to be right back..." I bolted. I sped right out of the front door and leaned down on the hood of his car. I watched as tear drops fell from my face to the car. What's wrong with me? Why couldn't I say a damn word!?

"Courtney?" I turned around to find Shayne standing there. He looked so concerned for me. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah...I'm just....I'm sorry," I crossed my arms and looked down at my feet. I didn't notice Shayne had walked closer to me and was now right in front of me. He wrapped his arms around me and I couldn't help but start crying harder as I wrapped my arms around him and grabbed the back of his shirt and dug my face into his chest.

I don't know how long we sat there, but eventually he asked if I wanted to sit down. We both sat in the grass up against the wall and he had his arm around me. Without thought I put my head on his shoulder and he didn't seem to mind.

"Courtney? Is there something that you need to talk about?" He asked

"It's..." I want to tell him so bad, but...I can't, "I can't tell you. It's not because I don't trust you or anything I just...I can't tell you"

"That's fine, you don't have to. I was just worried is all"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry you," I pulled my legs up to my chest and wrapped my arms around them all while my head rested on his shoulder and his arm was around me.

"It's okay"

"Shayne? Can...can we just stay like this for a bit?"

"Of course. Whatever you need I'll help you. If you need to stay out here until you feel better then I'll stay here with you"

"Thank you...so much"

Hey, side note. I love My Hero Academia, but I dont think Courtney's seen it, so I had to make her a little clueless towards it. Of course I know it's All Might bros 😁
