The last straw

I hadn't spoke to Abbie this morning. I hadn't spoke to her since she left mine. The first lesson we had together was maths.
She sat with Harry, James and Danny in this lesson where as I sat with Kira, Tom and dougie. But in the middle of our two tables was the table where Jess, Josh, Alex and Amy were. They were all slagging Abbie off and I thought she was going to cry.

She checked her phone almost straight away but stayed sat down and didn't reply.

"The dirty slag round at matts last night. she's deffo fucked him." Amy said and Abbie heard that too because I saw dougie look up at her and say something to her before looking at me.

I put my hand up and sir came over.

"Yes matt?" He said crouching next to me.

"Can you send Abbie outside and let me go with her." I whispered

"Is everything okay?" He asked quietly.

"No." I said and he stood up and walked towards Abbie. I sat watching and then she stood up and walked out.
He looked across at me and I went to stand up.

"Aww has little Abbie gone out crying because she's realised nobody wants her." Jess mocked.

"You lot better watch what your saying. Its not her fault. She's 100 times better than you lot. Your all pathetic and need to grow the fuck up." I said getting so angry.

"Matt calm down. I don't know what's going on just go and stand outside. okay." sir said

"Go on matt. Do as your told." josh said "go after your little fuck buddy. Go on have a quick shag in the stairways."

I then punched him in the face as Kira, Tom, danny, dougie, harry and James all shouted my name telling me to stop.

"OUT NOW!" Sir shouted dragging me outside. "what's going on?"

"There all giving Abbie a hard time because she's apparently ditched them for me and Kira. They've started bulling her and they told everyone she's in care when nobody new. In scared she's gonna do something stupid."

"Right well I need you to go and find Abbie. Check she's alright and come back here and tell me okay? If anyone asks I've sent you. Okay. Explain to them too."

I nodded and ran off looking for Abbie. I then found her under the side stairs crying. She looked gone. Her eyes were open but she wasn't there. Her arms were bleeding and I noticed a bottle of really strong tablets and a pair of scissors in her hands.

I picked her up and carried her.
"SIR!" I shouted as I saw Mr Owens "HELP!"

He saw us and ran over to us.

"Matt what's happened?"

"I found her like this." I cried "it's all there fault! I'm gonna kill them."

"Right bring her in here." he said opening a class room which was empty. I placed her down on the table and he rang an ambulance. I sat next to her holding her hand. I felt tears fall from my eyes.

"Mathew. Where were you both? Lesson wise."

"Maths. with Mr lamble."

"Right I need you to go and tell him what's happened. Tell him we've rang the ambulance and that I'm with Abbie and your coming with me okay? I need to know what's happened okay?"

I nodded and ran of towards maths. I barged in and josh was sat there looking all smug.

"How's your girlfriend?" He chuckled and I grabbed him an shoved him against the wall.

"I'm gonna fucking kill you." I screamed "thanks to you and your friends SHE is fighting for her life." I said throwing him into the other wall.

Harry and James grabbed hold off me trying to calm me down.

"As much as I want you to knock that prick out I'm not letting you." harry said.

"Why not he deserves it." I said fighting my way out. "This goes to you aswell." I pointed at their table. "you lot thinking your smart by being horrible to her, to what. Get a laugh. To entertain yourself? Well now she's lay there unconscious. She might fucking die all because of you." I shouted

"Matt where is she." sir said

"She's with Mr owens. he's Rang an ambulance and I'm going with them. Now i hope you twats Learn something. You were meant to be her friends now she may die by suicide. Just think about that. You may not of pulled the trigger but you held it there for her." I said walking out.

"Matthew!" I heard sir shout but I carried on walking to where Abbie was.

Sir was talking to mr hunt.

"Matt found her." I heard Mr Owens say

"Matt well done. So you know everything that happened?" Mr hunt said

"Yeah." I nodded looking at her Pale face. "I told Mr lamble to let her out because she was going to cry."

"Why?" He asked

"Because Jess Bibby, Alex Taylor, josh Wright, Amy Anderson were all calling her and saying stuff. It started yesterday and she ran out of the PE changing rooms because they said about her being in care and saying how nobody wants her. So she ran to mine in bits and told me everything. She told me why she's in care and how Charlie bullied her and everything. And I saw the state of her arms." I said and Mr hands were killing from the right fist shape I was making "she told me not to tell anyone. And I've broken it but I think it's too late anyway!" I said

Mr Owens put his hands on my shoulder and I tried to relax.

"She's going to be fine." he said and I fell to the floor in tears with my head on the table where she lay.

The ambulance crew ran in and moved me out of the way trying to get her breathing again.

In the ambulance they patched up all her open wounds an put her on oxygen.

"We will do our best. But it's up to her now." they said

Me and sir sat there in the hospital room looks at all the wires on her.
Beep beep beep.Was a we heard. The heart monitor going.
