The New Guy

Laurence's P.O.V.

     What a peaceful morning...I thought to myself.  I walked to the bookshelf and grabbed a book that I've been reading.  It's called Maximum Ride, it's interesting (it is, I recommend it).  I sat down on couch and read a couple of chapters...before the perfect silence was ruined by...

     "FEATHERS!!!!" Garroth shouted as he ran out of his room and slammed the door shut, "LAURENCE!! WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!"

     I sighed and replied with, "I'm...in the living room?" I said in a confused voice, "And I'm trying to finish my book."  Garroth ran up to couch and leaned against the couch like he had a ground breaking discovery, "What's up...?" I asked

     "FEATHERS!!!" He shouted once again

     I tilted my head, "What?"

     "Dante and I have been buying LOTS of feathers.  To make women more attracted to us."  He said, "Did you realize that at the new years party, Kenmur managed to get a kiss.  Because of the feathers!!"

     I pinched the bridge of my nose, "Garroth, Kenmur didn't a kiss just because of the feathers.  He's a good guy.  He just got the courage to go and kiss Emmalyn, that's all."  I explained

     "Because.  Of.  The.  Feathers!!" Garroth restated, like a child who's too stubborn to change their mind on something.

     I placed my bookmark on the page I was on and closed my book, "You and Dante have been driving me crazy with those feathers."  I said with annoyance clear in my voice, "I swear, if we get another package of feathers in the mail from the feather shopping where you guys have been on, I'm going to---"  My sentence was cut short because our doorbell rang.  I got up and walked over to the door.  I opened the door and saw a delivery man standing outside the door

     "Oh, and good day to you young man."  He said, "I have a huge delivery of feathers for this very house," He said as he took out a package, "These feathers are of the highest quality.  Very good for getting the ladies, but you don't have to take my word for it."  He smiled

     My blood boiled, "WE DON'T WANT THEM!!" I shouted, then slammed the door.  

     "WHAT!?" I heard the postman say, "Is this the wrong house...? TIMBERLY IS SO FIRED!!!"

     "HEY! I needed those!" Garroth shouted and looked annoyed.  He looked at me with a pout

     "No...you don't."  I growled, these feathers are driving me insane...

     The door open and Garroth and I looked towards the door and Dante walked into the living with a face of concern, "Heeeeey guys..." He said, his voice sounding like he was trying to cover up a mistake he made.

     "Dante please..." I begged, finally calming down, "You and Garroth need to stop this feather madness.  Not only is it annoying beyond belief, but I think the feathers are starting to ruffle up my nose."  I said sniffing

     "Y-yeah..." Dante's voice dragged, "About that.  We're going to have to stop this feather thing Garroth."  He said looking at Garroth with a face full of worry.

     "WHAT!?!" Garroth shrieked in disbelief, "WHY!?"

     "Garroth! You realized we've spent HUNDREDS of dollars on feathers this weekend right?"  He said putting his hands in his pockets, "I'm actually ashamed of my behavior over these past couple of days."  He look at the ceiling, "I'm trying WAY too hard to impress Aphmau...Watching ponies, buying feathers!? I think I'm just gonna chill out for a bit"
