Somewhere in a quirk doctor's office in Japan, a limited all might figure clatters to the floor. Inside this office sits a once bright beaming child excited for news of a quirk broken about to face the cruel world of quirks. At some point, everyone learns life isn't always fair to those deserving of kindness. We can only wish to shelter our young ones from this heartbreaking truth. The mother of this child, Inko Midoriya, sits in a moment of frozen shock and realization. This is the moment that she realized she can no longer shelter her child from this truth. She's pulled out of her shock after glancing down at her frozen child once more.

"Oh..oh, dear."

The doctor continues to explain to her while young Izuku slowly starts to come unfroze. By the time the doctor has finished talking small hot tears are cascading down the child's freckled cheeks. Inko quietly moves out of her seat next to him cupping his face in her hands. She starts to wipe away his tears with her thumbs letting out a sad huff of breath.

"We'll figure this out baby..i promise we'll figure it out."

The drive home is silent, Izuku's tears having ceased, rather he sits in a numb silence in the back seat looking out his window. Inko keeps glancing back at him adjusting her rearview mirror with pursed lips and uncertainty in her eyes. Sighing she turns back to the road nearly missing her turn into their apartment buildings dingy parking lot. Pulling into her parking space she walks around the front of the car to get the backseat car door. She opens the door waiting for him to hop out on his own like he always does- he claims he's not a baby -but he doesn't. The toddler just continues to sit there clearly devastated. The greenette frowns in concern before reaching over and unbuckling him. She carefully lifts her child into her arms and locks the car up before heading into the building. Fortunately, this is one of the rare occasions the old ratty buildings elevator is in order.

The ride is deathly slow and she almost sags in relief when they finally step into the comforts of their home. She toes off her shoes before swiftly walking over to Izuku's room and opening the door stepping in. Hero merchandise covers every inch causing her frown to deepen. Looking around one more time around the room she wonders if the room will help or make it worse before ultimately deciding it should be fine and softly setting her son on the bed. She smooths out the sheets and removes his shoes before ruffling his messy mop of hair and smiling weakly at him before placing her hands on his shoulders.

"I'll be back soon Izuku. I'm just going to make dinner ok? Would you like anything before I go do that baby?" she says softly, wiping more tears from his wide eyes.

He nods slightly before pointing to his computer in his room. Anyone who didn't know him might be slightly confused but inko just smiles knowingly before lifting him up onto her hip.

"You sure?" She asks her eyebrows moving into a look of question. He nods again against her shoulder before she walks over and places him in the chair. Leaning over next to him she shifts the mouse and keyboard for better access and pulls up AllMights debut video. When she sees the small smile on her son's face that's slowly growing as the video plays longer hope sparks in her chest. Maybe even if things might take a turn for worse his love for All Might can help like this.

Inko walks out of the room pausing with her hand on the door to look back and smile at her little izuku before heading the short distance to the kitchen. While she starts to pull out the pans and such to make dinner she basks in the comforting warmth of the apartment. It may be small but this is the place that they moved to when Hisashi went to America. Even if it gets on her nerves sometimes, she loves it here.

About 40 minutes later, dinner's finally ready and she quietly sets everything on the table before moving back towards the youngest Midoriya's room. She stands quietly in the doorway once more looking over her child. After a few seconds into the next repeat of the video, he starts to speak causing her to take in a surprised intake of breath.
