The sound of the rain resonated in my ears, (Child's name) held my hand staring at the unexpected before us.
A coffin,
Of his/her loving father,
Daichi Sawamura.
Though (Child's name) was too young to know what's going on. She/He looked at the coffin in question after seeing who was inside. "Mommy," She/He looks up to me with worried eyes, "Why is daddy inside the box?"
Crouching door to her I smiled sadly, "Daddy needs to rest dear." She blinks "But why in there when he can sleep at the bed with you?" my eyes widen at her question, holding back the tears I smile. "Don't worry-"
But before I could continue she/he looked at the coffin and gasped, Sugawara stood beside me along with Tanaka and Nishinoya who we're slowly in tears.
"Mommy what are they doing to Daddy?!"
"They're burying daddy dear"
"But they can't bury daddy mommy!" I cried slowly, I could hear the raging breaths of the three beside me as (Child's name) screamed for the men to stop. "PLEASE DON'T BURY DADDY" she tries to run to them, but before she could do that I stopped her by hugging her tightly. I cried as she struggles out of my arms.
"DADDY CAN'T BE BURIED" she cries.
"DADDY PROMISED TO TAKE ME SHOPPING FOR MY BIRTHDAY"
Suga stared at her/him with sad eyes before looking away. His shoulder's slowly raising up and down as he cries. (Child's name) struggles from my arms as she screeches.
"STOP IT!!"
"DADDY STILL HAS TO SHOP WITH ME!!"
"HE STILL HAS MORE WORK TO DO!"
"PLEASE STOP!"
She cries looking at the men already burying him with the dirt. "Please..."
"Daichi did a good job.." Suga says "He was a promising co-worker..."
That day, was the day my husband died, and the day I promised to myself that I will raise (Child's name) the best I could. On my own as he watches over us.
