My Hair Is No Longer Flawless

Harry woke up the next morning to the sound of mild explosions coming from the far end of the dorm.
"What the hell!" Harry screamed as he jumped up from his bed. Harry look around to see four half dressed marauders crowded round Sirius' bed and they all seemed to have pink hair.
Remus turned around and said, "um hi Harry um.. These guys" he gestured at the other three Marauders,"thought it would be a good idea to make all the girls who they seem to be 'fit' ( he used his hands to make inverted commas) have pink hair to see their reactions,"
Harry looked at James, Peter and Sirius and saw that their hair was bright pink where as Remus' was only pale and barely noticeable in the morning light.
"Very clever guys, how long will your hair stay like that," Harry asked the Marauders as he got dressed,
"What do you mean," Sirius asked starting to panic,"what's wrong with my hair?" Then he looked at James and let out a very girly a screech, "James my hair is no longer flawless," then he ran into the bathroom and the marauders and Harry heard running water and Sirius shouting 'it's not coming off Merlin what have I done to deserve this?'

After Harry got dressed he went downstairs with Remus ,his pink hair catching the attention of many students, as they went to the great hall where they saw Hermione.
"Hi," hermione said her nose in a book labeled 'magical spells from 1970s' harry looked at the book alarmed because when people look at the book they would realise that the 70s haven't finished yet so that book is from the future.
"Hermione what's that book called?" Harry asked as he sat down next to Remus,
"Oh it's called 'Hogwarts A History' look at the title it's not that hard ," said Hermione giving him a look that meant not to question it,
"Oh" was all Harry said as he started to pile food onto his plate.

Breakfast was quite uneventful minus the part where James, Sirius and Peter entered in skirts their pink hair even brighter than when Harry first saw it. They all slumped down opposite Harry saying that all their trousers were converted to skirts and that all there underwear is now thongs and bras.
They got up to go to there first lesson (after five minutes of persuading by Remus and Hermione) and on the way out a lanky boy with greasy shoulder length hair caught the attention of James and Sirius,
"Snivellus" James and Sirius said looking at the boy Harry now recognised as Severus Snape. Snape looked at them so quickly Harry though that he knew they were going to be there. The marauders advanced Remus stayed with Harry and Hermione looking at his friends. Remus looked at Harry and Hermione and said "well potions is calling we better go if you don't want a detention," and with that he practically dragged Harry and Hermione out and straight past Snape (who was currently doing a dance and singing 'I want to hold your hand' to a crowd of about half the school) and into the dungeons.

"How often does this happen," Hermione asked Remus who was currently pacing the short hallway that lead to the entrance to the potions classroom,
" About every three days or so, each time they get a detention... they never learn. I learnt after third year to leave as quickly as possible when this happens but I am still often part of it," Remus sighed and sat down.
"Hard life being a marauder," Harry said grinning,
"Yeah you have no idea," Remus said as he pulled out a book, " Sirius and James in detentions, girls asking where James and Sirius are and I have to say they are in detention, then there are boys asking if they have seen the girls who were asking to see James and Sirius, then I have to say that their girlfriends are trying to do things to get into the detentions with Sirius and James then there are thee teachers who think that I have made a terrib-"
"Yeah I get it, being the most popular group in school must suck," Harry said to the werewolf on the floor,
"Yeah.." Remus then pulled out a piece of parchment and muttered quietly 'I solemnly swear I am up to no good' not noticing Harry and Hermione looking at him opening the marauders map,
Then he looked up saying "Yeah I bet there in detention- ummmm why are you so close to me?" He asked trying to hide the map behind his back hoping they haven't seen it.
"That's a map," Harry said
"Not just a map it's the marauders map," Hermione said in awe
"It is so cool,"
"And so clever,"
"Even Hermione couldn't make that,"
"Yeah even Hermi-" Hermione started but then looked at the smiling Harry and slapped his arm "how rude," she said before sitting down and pulling out the book she was reading at the breakfast table.
"How did you know about the marauders map?" Remus asked slightly worried.
"Uhhh." Harry stuttered they said too much, "uhhh," he said again.
"Well we found it on the staircase leading to the boys dorm and examined it. It was rather marvellous thing and we though that whoever created it must be a genius. We never knew it was you guys." Hermione lied easily her eyes still on her book.
"Oh," Remus said relaxing slightly, "James must of dropped it," and he opened a book labeled advanced potion making. 'that was close' Harry mouthed to Hermione and she nodded. they both knew that they had to be more careful Remus isn't stupid.

Well I don't know if the characters seem a bit off but hopefully they are not to out of character. Also I think the chapters are starting to get longer witch is a good think I suppose.
