Chapter 1: Partners

Jiwoo wakes up glad it's finally friday although she cares about school it gets stressful she wakes herself by washing her face and brushing her teeth she eats cereal then finally gets dressed and off to school she goes

Classes pass by jiwoo paying attention from time to time but mostly doodling on her paper and sometimes the desk the bell rings and the next class is science she only likes this class because the teacher was nice and didn't give out a lot of homework

plus after this class she has lunch she didn't really have any friends in this class usually everyone was kind of in their own friend group it was hard to approach anyone

Jiwoo spent the first few minutes of class not really paying attention that is till she hears

"you guys have a project to do"

Jiwoo perks her head up usually teachers don't give much homework on fridays much less a whole projects

"you'll have partners... that i picked groan all you want but i want everyone passing too many of you are failing see this as an opportunity"

Jiwoo felt frustrated she was already passing and felt like this project was unnecessary she didn't need this she didn't like the idea of partners either although she didn't talk to anyone everyone knew she was the "smart one" she knew she'd just get all the work so it did piss her off

Then again she couldn't do anything about it the teacher says the pairs of partners and finally gets to Jiwoo she looks at her clipboard

"and Kim Jiwoo you're with... Ha Sooyoung"

"WHAT!?" Jiwoo screams in her head she looked over Sooyoung who was already looking at Jiwoo with a smirk on her face

"I seriously got the girl who does zero to no work all she does is joke around and flirt" she says under her breathe

The bell rings and Jiwoo stays face down on her desk then she hears a light tap on her desk assuming it was the teacher

"you did this to bother me she does no wo-" Jiwoo looks up and is cut off by Sooyoung who's looking at her

she freezes "oh um I- I thought you were the teacher... I'm sorry" Jiwoo says feeling embarrassed

"Ouch... just wanted to tell you I was super happy to be your partner" Sooyoung smiles

There it is that Ha Sooyoung smile a smile where you don't know if she's being sarcastic or sincere "I know you don't wanna work with me but we're gonna have to eventually... don't worry I'll try my best to be useful" Sooyoung reassures the girl.

"Fine fine you're right let's just sit together at lunch and see what we'll do about this" Jiwoo starts grabbing her things and walks with Sooyoung to lunch. They sit in a booth across each other "Alright Chuu lets start" Sooyoung says while getting out her supplies

"Chuu? what even-" Jiwoo questions the nickname

"Oh well it just sounds cute and you're cute so i'm calling you Chuu" Sooyoung says this as if it was normal to give strangers a nickname. Jiwoo sighs but they finally get to work.

Its not as bad as Jiwoo thought though. Sooyoung actually did work of course she did joke and flirt every now and then calling Jiwoo a "cutie" and names like that but still working. Soon lunch was over as Jiwoo gathered her things Sooyoung asked for her number which Jiwoo questioned

"It's not like that" Sooyoung starts "since it's friday won't you wanna work on this on the weekend I'll need to know when and where we could meet up"

Jiwoo couldn't argue with that so she gave Sooyoung her number. Soon school was finally over and Jiwoo could go home and think about the situation she was in.
