"Just hold on! Just a little bit longer!!"
The same dream.
"This isn't going to hold the both of us (Y/N)..."
I didn't want to believe her. No...I could still save her.
"No! It will hold! I'm not letting you go!"
The feeling of blood trickled down my neck, recalling how hard I hit my head due to the blast. Rubble covered the entirety of the place, with just a pillar sticking out, hovering over a pit of flames.
"I'm not asking you to..."
No matter how hard I tried...it always ended the same way...
"NO!!"

The familiar feeling of sweat coated my face as my heart raced in erratic fashion from the memory. A small sigh left my mouth as I longed for one night of peace. A night where I'd fall asleep and not see the same dream over and over again. I knew that it was pointless trying to go back to sleep so I got up, throwing on a zip up black hoodie before making my way down the stairs, going towards the kitchen. It was peaceful, not a sound but just the glowing lights from what seemed like a swimming pool in the back garden was the only thing stimulating the senses. Turning the water on, I cupped my hands, filling them with water before splashing it on my face, calming me instantly. I couldn't help but hunch over the sink, sighing as I began to become tired of this nightly routine.
"I thought I heard someone..." The voice shocked me as I whipped round to only see Loba. Taking a sigh of relief, I turned to face her fully.
"Sorry that I woke you." I husked lowly, sheepish that I wasn't as quiet as I thought I was.
"It's fine. I couldn't really sleep either." There was something about her that just seemed to ease me. Maybe it was that warm smile she was giving me. It was enough to chuckle slightly, a smile now on my lips.
"So, Inpulsa, why'd you join the Games?" Her tone was of course teasing, which made me chuckle. I leaned back against the counter top as I crossed my arms, thinking of the right words to say.
"I guess to prove myself in a way." I couldn't quite pin point the exact reason. It was just too far out of reach. "What about you? Why did you join?"
"I came here for revenge..." Her face seemed to turn a lot darker, her tone deepening as she thought on what I had said. "But, the treasure was enough to lure me to stay." Her dark expression soon softened back into her sultry smirk.
Right. Loba was a notorious Thief. One of the most talented ones in the Outlands. In the past, we definitely wouldn't have got along but, I have a feeling that we may just get along. Inside the ring and hopefully out of it too.
"Well, I better let you go sleep. Seeing as it is your first match tomorrow." She sassed her way closer to where I stood and before I knew it, she was just a couple of steps away from me.
"Make sure you sleep well, Beautiful." The lingering touch of her hand on my shoulder was the only thing I could process, let alone the comment as she walked back out of the kitchen.
I already knew that if I was to be teamed up with her, I would be like a lost puppy.
'God help me...'

"All Legends, be prepared in 5 minutes."I could already feel my stomach churning from the nerves of my first match. My announcement of arriving to the games hadn't been really announce till yesterday evening and not many of the public knew much about me. So to say the pressure to impress was there, was an understatement.
My gear was a little bit different compared to the other legends modern twists. Clad in a black leather jacket, it had circuit wires, interlaced in its material, glowing blue. It was almost like crypto's loading screen for his drone. Accompanying it was a pair of black fingerless gloves and ripped black jeans. As I said, it was different and a lot more simplistic.
"You'll do just fine Amigo! I remember my first time in the ring...The match was so slow...but man was the adrenaline there when the fights kicked off!" Octavio's energetic persona was exactly what I needed. In an odd way, it calmed me down, instead of pumping me up getting ready for battle.
"Assemble into your teams."
The LED screens lit up with our images, showing us our teams. To my luck, I was with Loba and, another called Revenant who I'd only heard rumours of. As I assembled alongside Loba, I could already sense the mass amount of tension spilling from her aura.
Feeling a chilling presence to my left, I noticed Revenant looking towards me, giving me a side glance or more of a glare. "Stay out of my way or I'll gut you like a fish..." Well, that was an introduction and a half.
"Shut it Demon...your voice is grading and I don't need to hear it." The hiss like tone from Loba didn't go unnoticed. For my first match, I was pared with a robot killer and a Portuguese beauty who seemed to want to tear his throat out. Well, teamwork was defiantly going to be tested.
"Kings Canyon inbound."
I took a brief moment to look on the map, trying to get familiar with it for the short time I had. Feeling Loba's presences beside me, I looked towards her.
"Where do you think we should land?" She seemed to ponder, looking over the map before putting her slender finger on a place.
"Here...Salvage." Agreeing with her, I moved to the back of the drop shop, Loba and Revenant closely following behind. It seemed that Loba was much closer to me, trying to put some distance between herself and the robot. If she could, I'm pretty sure she'd jump on my back.
"Stay out of my way!" I felt the cool metal push past me, causing Loba and I to lose our balance. Loba almost fell out of the ship if I hadn't of grabbed hold of her arm, pulling her closer into me. It must of been a moment before she pulled me out of the drop ship with her. However, it was still long enough to still feel how her hands lingered on my biceps as she gripped onto me.
'She's going to be the death of me. I can already tell...'
