"are we really going to korea because of rose's love life?" kevin questioned with a sigh.

chaesoo pouted a frown, "hey! we need to visit grandma too so don't go blaming all this on me." her hand stuck to her hip as she walked away from him.

"we are happy to leave you here because we are departing in an hour." she added, an innocent grin on her lips.

they had their belongings in the living room, ready to be loaded in the car. chaesoo's excitement only grew, being able to go to korea to see her grandma and see mark.

"have you told nayeon we are leaving soon?" her mother asked. chaesoo nodded in response, giving her a reassuring smile.

nayeon would've came, chaesoo's parents treat her like their own child but with more love. however, she has a job unlike chaesoo.

the thought of working for her parents who had their companies in korea crossed her mind but she wasn't so sure yet. business classes weren't her favourite class in high school.

"let's go team!" chaesoo's dad called out, walking out of the house.

it was a different vibe, way more different to toronto. chaesoo looked at her surroundings. the streets were incredibly busy.

"okay we're here." her dad spoke, in front of an apartment building. it looked expensive from the outside, she wondered how expensive it would look from the inside.

as they entered and made it to her grandma's apartment, chaesoo felt the excitement of finally seeing her grandma.

"hello grandma!" she grinned, giving her a warm hug. just as she thought, it was expensive. they put their suitcases in their rooms before gathering in the living room.

"chaesoo you're so pretty now! kevin you really grew up to be very handsome too! my gosh the looks in this family are top notch." her grandma chuckled, her smile as big as the moon.

"isn't this apartment expensive? it's also in a busy spot." chaesoo spoke. her grandma nodded, "yes it's quite close to the sm building actually."

her lips curled up upon hearing those words. kevin leaned back on the couch, "grandma i think chaesoo wants to tell you something too."

chaesoo glared at her brother, putting on a smile. he could only smirk, "well what is it? don't keep secrets from me." her grandma frowned.

"well grandma," chaesoo chuckled, "i'm friends with this boy from that group nct 127–"

"oh my gosh are you dating him?!" her grandma questioned with wide eyes. kevin snickered and nodded, "she basically is dating him."

another glare was sent towards him. suddenly, her grandma stood up and walked to a drawer. she pulled out a lanyard with an id card.

"this is just an id so staff knows you're meant to be there and not get sent back." chaesoo took the card from her grandma's hands and smiled.

"thank you grandma." she beamed.

it wouldn't leave her mind, being in the sm building. it wasn't sm town or anything, it was the actual building where all the artists are.

for her, this all just seems too good to be true but it's actually happening.
