19_ Warm Silence

Raph P.O.V-

I stepped out of the shower, water dripping onto the floor. I grabbed my towel and dried myself off. My 'problem' was solved in the shower so all I had to do was walk out of the bathroom. The usual hot steam didn't flood out when I opened the bathroom door, due to the cold shower. I shivered all the way to my room. All of the lights in the lair were off, so I assumed everyone went to bed. I was walking normally down the path to my room, when I noticed one small detail, my room door was open a bit.

'Those guys better not have ransacked my room.' I thought.

But I walked in to see the complete opposite. The most beautiful girl in the world laying in my bed. She was curled up tightly in the covers letting out little snores every now and then.

"Awww." I smiled as the sight calmed my mind.

I just want to lay there and hold her. Should I? She just looks so...

Before I knew what I was doing, I was taking a step toward the bed. Then I took another, and another, and another until I was standing on the side. I slid into the bed, careful not a wake her up. It's not so easy trying to slide a big rough turtle body into a bed without waking someone up, ninja or not. I climbed in and pulled the cover over myself.

'So this is what it feels like' I thought. To lay next to someone you love.

This is what I've wanted for so long for, I just never had the guts to tell anyone. Didn't want them to think I was gettin soft or nothin...

I dared to lay closer to the angelic body. Warmth washed over my body. I melted into the covers. As I got closer and closer to her, I sunk deeper and deeper into the bed. Soon my body was against hers, touching every inch of her back. She never made any noise or stirred, meaning she was still asleep. I sighed and closed my eyes, never wanting this moment to end.

Essence P.O.V-

I was sleeping peacefully having a pleasant dream about Raph (nothing dirty... I swear) when I awoke to someone moving close to me under the covers. Soon the body was up against mine and I could feel the ice cold skin on my back. A chill went up my spine. I was frightened, until I realized the same intoxicating smell in the covers was the smell of who was lying beside me.

Raphael.

I smiled and kept my eyes closed so he thought I was still sleeping, I heard him sigh happily. I turned my head to get a look at his face and saw his eyes shut tight. I smiled even more and turned all the way around to face him. I didn't know what to do, but then it hit me. I'm definitely known as one of those people who "push their boundaries" but hey, its gotten me into both good and bad situations. As a matter of fact, I think I'm gonna push my boundaries right now. What's life without a little danger, right?

I moved myself closer and got on top of him. I climbed up to his face and lied the rest of my body down. I glanced down at his peaceful face again, I knew he was asleep. I rubbed his plastron and whispered softly in his ear.

"Raphael?"

His eyes flickered open, his green one's met my brown. His eyes widened, a slight blush on his cheeks. He gulps, I smirk.

"Hello"

"Um... hi?"

"Whatcha doin?"

"Well I WAS sleeping." He says with a smirk.

"Well not anymore." I smirk back.

He seemed shocked by the way I was acting, that just amused me. I decided to take it up a notch.

"Oh, sorry. I don't wear pants to bed, is that ok?" I asked innocently.

"Y-yeah. T-t-t-t-t-thats fine." He stutters. I smirked again and started tracing the lines in his plastron with my finger.

"Good. Are you comfortable?" I ask in a whisper.

"S-Sure."

"Even better." I lay my head down on his chest and put my arms around his neck. I wrap my legs around him tighter as I listened to the sound of his heartbeat.

"Goodnight Raph."

"Goodnight Essence." He whispers. He wrapped his arms around my back hugging me close.

I closed my eyes taking in my tiny piece of heaven, drifting back to sleep with the sound of his heartbeat in my ear.
