"Head down, ears open. Don't bother anyone and no one will bother you. Whatever you do be quiet. You've done it for six years you can do it for a year and a half longer."
Rumours. Thousands of rumours of why I don't speak, yet none are even close to the real reason. They will never know. They call me freak. It's what I am.
"Hey freak!" I turn and look, before walking away. "Freak, I'm talking to you! What, cat got your tongue? Oh wait, you don't have a tongue!" One of them say while laughing a long with everyone else.
I keep my face blank. Turn away and walk to class.
At break I sit outside under a tree. It calms me. I listen to music while I draw until I must go to class.
