I get home that day. I'm late. I try to sneak up to my room. Sadly, I don't go unnoticed.
"YOU ARE LATE! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN YOU SLUT!" Slurs my step-father.
Keeping my head down, I listen to his stumbling footsteps getting louder and louder. Closer and closer.
Then.
I'm on the floor burning from a punch.
Kick. Kick.
My stomach and ribs screaming at me to get away from the pain.
He picks me up by my hair.
Punched before I'm able to stand.
Silence.
He is gone. Just like every other time.
Me lying weakly on the floor. Silently sobbing on the floor. Scared to make a noise.
