(at this point i'm gonna stop with the whole who's pov at the beginning because ya know... it's gonna be the readers lmao)
"The break is ending soon. Goshiki, you need to be heading back soon. Tendou. Semi. We're still in the middle of practice. So finish this little thing of yours up."
"Yes sir..." bowl cut grumbles.
"Okie dokie Wakatoshi!" Something about the way red said that makes me cringe.
Eita nods as tall deep voice man heads back into the gym before stopping at the door way. He looks back. Making direct eye contact with me. Chills, tingles whatever you wanna call it, struck me harder than lightning ever could. My grip tightens on Eita's shirt, which usually means I need help, but this, this was something entirely new."You."
I shudder.
"Whatever business you may have with my team, keep it away from the gym. I don't need any distractions to mess with our practice, especially with a game coming up."
And with that, he turns back, disappearing into the gym.
"...Well, you heard your mighty captain. You gotta get going Ei-tan, and sorry bout all the trouble!" I loosened my grip from his shirt and began to wave him off with my signature killer smile.
"Eh? O-oh alright," seemingly startled, he turns to face me, "Sorry about him, he has a tendency to get harsher with his words when preparing for matches like he mentioned-wait, how did you know he was our captain? I don't think it was mentioned just now," with a voice that seemed softer than before. Something about him is bothering me right now, just like earlier after I cut him off. I'll keep it for later for now though, don't wanna risk bothering him.
"You didn't. He gave off...captain vibes ya know? Like 'I'm in charge and that's it,'" deepening my voice to imitate his, eliciting a small laugh from Eita.
"Heehee...yeah, that sounds about right, not like he'd ever say it though," wiping a small tear away. Good, that cheered him up a bit. "You think you'll be good for the rest of the day? I can even come and pick you up at the end of class if you want,".
"That'd be lovely, just like old times," replying with a warm smile. "I missed ya dummy! Tell me all about your last 5 years later! Anyway see ya!" We both turned and began heading our different way when it hit me. Shit! I don't think he knows with my little situation! Before taking another step, I call out to Eita just as he's about to go into the gym. "W-WAIT EI-TAN!" running up to him as I pull him down to my height before he could get anything out.
"wha-?"
"I need to tell you that right now I'm attending school as a male student under the dumbest circumstances and I need you to keep quiet about that while I'm here, okay?" in a hushed, frantic voice. Clearly confused for a second, but when it registers in his head he confirms.
"Got it. Definitely quite the surprise but you have my word. That explains the male uniforms you got on. But you're telling me all about this later alright?" he whispers back.
"Of course, thanks," I knew he got my back. He straightens himself, and his head turns as he get called from inside the gym.
"Okay, you've kept me away from practice long enough, see ya!", jogging back and disappearing in the abyss of all the shouting, shoe squeaks and volleyballs hitting the floors.
Heh..how nostalgic.
I used to love the feel of sweat dripping down my forehead as I pant from finishing digging drills. Teammates shoes squeaking across the floor, the echoing sound of the ball hitting the ground from a spike that felt even better than the last. The shouts of encouragements from those same teammates and...mom and dad...
Wonderful coaches but lacked as parents..bastards.
Well no use thinking about it now, well over it now and now that I think about it, I still need to talk with bowl cu- "OW WHAT THE-"
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!!"
Ugh. It's her. That barbie girl.
"It's totally fine. Are you okay though? I feel like I ran into you kinda hard," switching back to Ayumu, the hottie of class 1-4.
"*insert wistful sighing* Doin just great after seeing you again..."
Her faces seems..kinda off. Like splotchy maybe? Or-NO. NO. IT IS NOT THAT. With a quick and fearful glance down, there it is. In all it's glory... HER DAMN ORANGE PAINT LOOKIN MAKEUP ON MY DAMN UNIFORM. ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!?! THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE!
"Are you okay? You look a little red in the face,"
"Hmm? Oh-well, you know how it is..." grit your fucking teeth and smile. Ooooh if I ever get the chance, one day I'm gonna-
"You look a little hot, (well like heat hot in this case but... ) Are you sure you're fine?" just then, her hand reaches up and presses against my forehead, hot with quiet honestly burning anger at this point. First this morning, then the makeup on my uniform and now her touching my damn forehead without warning.
"Oh! That's feeling pretty warm, do you want to go to the infirmary? You're burning up a lot more than it looked, I can take you there if you want?", concern plastered on her face.
You know what? After that little run with Red and his crew, a rest is what I could actually use right about now. I didn't notice it earlier, but I've got a killer headache right now.
"..I'd like that, thank you very much..", gripping my head in process.
And so we headed over, just before lunch ends.(aight so this has kinda got weird point of view things going on and i kinda want it cleared up, with that, should i start writing under the more usual circumstances with the whole y/n thing or no? should i keep it the way it is and just shift more to a story that you're just gonna live vicariously through? lmao sorry bout all this i just have the worlds worst focus)
