Chapter 4

"Nick" I say in disbelief.

"What's up cuz, long time no see" he utters while leaning confidently against the door frame and folding his arms like he owns the place.

Typical nick.

Can't believe I'm saying that name.

Nick.

I never thought I would be able to say his name again.

What the hell is happening?

"Are we just gonna like stare at each other till the school gets over like i don't mind I'm down to skip some lessons it'll be like our thing not the-" he's interrupted by me abruptly hugging him and he slowly responds back.

My hands around his neck are locked tight, not wanting to let go.

"Missed you too violin" he slowly starts to let go.

He hasn't changed a bit.

"Really violin still I thought your supposed to be 17" I say with sass.

"I would love to roast you again but I didn't come all the way from France to do that" He hints on wanting to enter the room.

"you caught my interest, come on in" I say with welcoming sarcastic hands and turn around to take my seat.

"V not just yet" he says and I slowly turn wondering what the hold up is.

"we need our third member" he speaks and I'm confused. He looks behind him and Jacob enters the room smirking.

Ugh.

What is the use of this kid.

We are kind of a trio, I know it doesn't look like it when it's just me and Jacob but Nick really glues us, when we used to visit Nick in France we would hang out so much and it does hurt to say this but it's better with our third member.

"Fuck it just get in" I say with annoyance and drop on the seat behind my desk. They sit on the couch not that far from me and Jacob starts to unleash food from his bag. We look at him with concern looks and he utters "what? I'm hungry and we are gonna be here for long " he compromise and cracks open a Sprite.

"20 questions?" Nick asks like its some normal day.

"More like 600 questions, I'll go first, how are you here?  Why are you here? When did you come here?  and Jacob why are you not surprised?!?"
I panic and notice them chuckle.

"Same old same old stressed violin" Nick teases and I scoff  "can you just answer the questions!!!"

"Okay okay calm down, I came here by my car, yes I drive and yes Jacob told me all about you not diving"he laughs and I roll my eyes.

"What do you mean you just drove here, YOU DO NOT LIVE HERE, expand your explanation PLEASE" I exclaim and begin to cross my arms.

"I'm here for good, for you and your whole family" he stutters "we obviously heard about..... What happened to 'her' this past summer and we tried to come earlier but it wasn't really summer vacation for us in France, we had school so we couldn't. Since we've all been through so much my dad decided to take up that job offer to work here that we've been talking about from a long time and that's why we had to come now since the school year starts today"he explains, takes a breath then continues "we came to New York from France a week ago but stayed at a hotel since we wanted to surprise you, Jacob and J (Julia) but your parents knew. On my way to school I had to be on the DL so I could surprise you guys at this time buttttt Jake (Jacob) caught me" Nick finishes and  then starts to grabs Jacob's soda.
