Chapter 1: The Bomb Shelter

            Livi tapped me while I was staring at Daniel. When she got my attention she said "I was going to ask you what you wanted from Dairy Queen after the field trip, but I guess you were to busy to notice staring at Daniel."

" pfft, what are you talking about! I was not staring at Daniel," I said, my voice squeaking.
"Ok, whatever you say," she said in a sarcastically.
"Anyways, are you excited for the field trip?" I said trying to change the subject.

"Yeah I'm excited! Are you?" she asked. 
"No. I'm claustrophobic. Remember? Can't believe my parents are making me go to this thing." I said crossing my arms. "Come on cheer up. At least I'm here." "True, I wouldn't survive through this without you.

I felt like someone was staring at me, but I ignored it and tried to get my mind off of this trip. I mostly focused on what I was gonna get at Dairy Queen after this.

Olivia and I talked until the bus stopped. Well here we go. Time to go conquer my fear. I grabbed my earbuds and my backpack. Some grabbed there backpacks and some didn't. They didn't say you couldn't so what's the harm. Mrs. Applebee had to stay at the top. I don't know for what but, she was yelling at someone.

No one questioned it though. I guess no one wanted to get yelled at like that person. So we followed the tour guide. We had to climb down a lot of stairs. The stairs were wood but, with dirt coming from the seams.

    Our tour guide, Elizabeth, seemed to talk on and on about the bomb shelter as we walked down the          stairs. I didn't pay attention though because I plopped my earbuds in the second she started talking. The whole time I could only think about being in the bomb shelter, and of course Dani.

      I looked out of the corner of my eye and I think Dani was staring at me. What if he was the guy that was staring at me earlier. No Bella your mind is playing tricks on you. You are just scared of going in the bomb shelter so your mind is just trying to distract you by playing tricks on you. Dani would never actually look at you. He has a girlfriend. And I am not a home wrecker.

      The tour continued and then something happened. Rebecca walks over to me." I didn't get to say this on the bus, but back off! Dani is mine okay," Rebecca snarked in a sassy tone. You know what Rebecca's name reminds me of Chewbacca so maybe her new name should be Chewbecca. Because I can't understand a word she is saying half of the time. I wish that I would have said something but, she whipped her hair in my face and walked away. I spit out her bleach blonde hair out of my face.

To be honest, I think Dani laughed when he saw me spitting out Rebecca's hair. But maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me again.

      Eventually, we finally got to the bomb shelters' metal door.. When we got in the place the ceiling was dirt held up by metal because the wood wasn't sturdy enough to hold up the ceiling.The sides and floor were also made of metal, but there were some sort of pipes around the room. There were also like ladders glued to the walls or something. I don't know. Maybe some sort of design.

Everyone looked back when they heard something hitting the pipes. It was Hunter. He had grabbed a wrench out of his backpack when we wern't looking. "Hunter! Stop!" I yelled. I went to yank the wrench out of his hands when he pulled out a gun from his pocket. These people should really have metal detectors. Suddenly the water pipes burst. " This is all your fault Riley." And with that he closed the door. The tour guide told us not to shut it because it would lock. Great now we are stuck. "If you wouldn't have broken up with me. Than this wouldn't happen. I saw you staring at that one guy on the bus. If I can't have you than no one can." yelled Hunter.

          "Elizabeth! Where is the key?" I said. "With the security guard. But I told him to go home since this is the last tour of the day." Elizabeth said. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" said Olivia grabbing Elizabeth's shirt. " HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT ONE OF YOU GUYS WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THIS?!" Elizabeth yelled.
