44-Road Trip, Baby

(Season 1 x 19)

Eddie, Joe, Cisco, Caitlin and Katrina are all in the West household, Caitlin is seated on the stairs, as Joe gets Eddie and Cisco a beer.
"Where's Barry?" Eddie asks as he goes to sit down.
"He should be back any second" Katrina tells him as she stands by the stairs near Caitlin.

"I sent him out for-" "Pizza" Barry says interrupting Joe as he had four pizza boxes in his hand.
"What?" Cisco says surprised.
"From Coast City?" Eddie asks.
"Supposedly the best in the west?" Barry says as he takes his jacket off and the guys set the boxes on the table.

"Why did I not think of this before?" Cisco says, "come to papa" he says as he opens a box and takes a slice out.
"Caitlin, Kat?" Joe says looking over at the girls.
"|'m not hungry" Caitlin tells him.
"I am starving" Katrina says as she goes over and grabs a slice out of one of the boxes before sitting making Barry move over in the chair he was sitting in.

"Okay, six months of investigation Harrison Wells has led us nowhere. So we're going back to the beginning to see what we can find out" Joe says to them.
"What does that mean?" Eddie asks.
"Road trip, baby" Cisco says to Joe as they clink beer bottles.
"Joe, Cisco and I are going to head to Starling City" Katrina tells him.

"Starling City, what for?" Caitlin asks.
"To investigate the car accident that Dr. Wells was in with Tess Morgan 15 years ago" Joe tells her.
"I..I don't understand, why?" Caitlin asks.
"Dr. McGee said that after Wells' accident he became, like, a complete stranger, just a different person entirely" Barry tells her.

"Because the love of his life died. You of all people, can understand how grief can change a person" Caitlin says to him.
"Caitlin, we believe that Dr. Wells is the Reverse-Flash and killed Barry's mother, and he may have done the same thing to Tess Morgan. We have to learn everything we can about that night, See where it leads us" Joe tells her.

"Oh, umm can you cover for me? With Dr. Wells?" Cisco asks Caitlin.
"You mean lie?" she asks.
"Yeah" he says to her.
"I need some air" she says.
"Caitlin" Barry calls out as she walks out the door.
"Doesn't look like Caitlin's with us" Joe says to him.

"No she's with us, I'll talk to her" Barry says.
"What do you want us to do here?" Eddie then asks.
"Business as usual while we're gone" Joe tells him.
"Copy that" Eddie says to him.
"I wanna wish you guys good luck over there, but I'm also scared of what you might find" Barry says to Joe and Katrina.
"Scared is a good thing, scared keeps us alive" Joe says to him.
"You still good with me going with them?" Katrina asks Barry.

"Yeah...you have connections over there, so it might be best if they have someone with them. Especially try and keep Cisco out of the Arrow bunker" Barry says to her.
"You can keep things under control here, without me though" she says.
"You don't think I can handle a few days without my partner in crime" he smiles at her.
"If there is any..any sign of trouble and you need me, call me right away" she tells him.
"Hey Kitty Kat, I got this" he says kissing her.

The next day, Joe, Cisco and Katrina arrive at SCPD, Katrina having contacted Captain Lance, to get the case file on the accident that had claimed Tess Morgan's life.
"This brings back memories" Katrina says as they wait for Quentin to bring them the file. He comes over and passes Joe the smallest file.

"There it is" he says to Joe, who opens the file to look at it.
"This is all you have?" Joe asks him.
"It's a pretty cut-and-dry case, detective, Harrison Wells, Tess Morgan are out on Sunday drive. The tires blow" Quentin tells them as Joe passes Cisco and Katrina the crime scene photos, "Wells loses control, and, uh, sadly, Tess dies on the scene" he tells them. "Couldn't imagine carrying that kind of guilt around" he says.  "So, uh, what are you three hoping to find?" Quentin then asks.
