Two weeks have passed since the attempted suicide.

We are now down to fifteen competitors and everyone is on the edge of there seats, tomorrow is our first interview with the royal family and to be honest until this very moment I have yet to think about it.

We spend most of our time downstairs in the woman's room with Elizabeth training to be Queen.

I haven't spoken to drake since that night and I spend most of my time with my maids and or Lisa. Skai doesn't come around very often and seems to become more depressed by the day.

She's spent a lot of time with Drake as well as the king, he always asks her to his office for a meeting. I think she has something going on at home.

Drake has now been on a date with everyone here at least twice and yet I haven't had a single one with him.

Everytime I see him he avoids eye contact and just me in general, my question is if he dislikes me so much why didn't he kick me out of the competition that day?

Which leads me to my next question, who and what is the valley?

"Lady Mariana?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Maggie.

"How many times have I told you to just call me Mariana?"

She smiled softly.

"To many to count, but it is improper and I refuse to address you as anything but lady"

I rolled my eyes.

What can ya do

"Is there something you needed Maggie?"

She nodded.

"Yes, your presence has been requested by the princess. She would like for you to meet her in the gardens"

What would the princess want with me?

Last time I talked to her she accused me of hiding things, and while that may be true I just assumed she didn't like me.

"Uhm kay"

Sighing I slipped on BiRkEnStOcKs and made my way out of the room.

When I opened the door there stood of all people prince Drake looking as though he was about to knock.

I stood frozen as I watched him attempt to regain his composure.

"Yes?" I asked one hand still on the doorknob.

He cleared his throat before speaking.

"I thought we should talk"

"About?"

"That night" I mentally rolled my eyes.

"I don't really have time for this" I say trying to push past him, before I could he grabbed my arm in a rather tight grip.

"Tomorrow during the interview we need to make sure our stories are straight"

I gave him a weird look

"What story?"

He sighed "about our date, we need to tell them that we went on a walk through the gardens and ate chocolate covered strawberries. And you need to tell them that you had an amazing time and would love to have another" he finished looking at me seriously.

I looked over my shoulder and Maggie was making herself busy with folding my laundry.

"Why would I do that?"

He thought over that for a moment.

"Please?" He asked looking at me, I sighed and crossed my fingers behind my back.
