The black leather pressed against the teenager's skin as she tightened her gloves. Once she was sure it would be secure she made her way to her nightstand and strapped on her belt. Diana's hand running over the woven designs before feeling the empty space her weapon usually lived.
Inhuman eyes shifted over to the girl's sea-foam green canopy bed, seeing the glock resting casually on top one of my Diana's musical binders.
Her cracked lips ran over one another as she stared down at the two items. Two vastly different paths set before her, how ironic.
Still, "My problems mean nothing," as Diana repeated her mantra she picked up her gun and attached it to the holster.
Not bothering to stare at her book any longer. Leaving her glasses behind as she went to join the others.
"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out."
Once the group arrived in Sokovia Diana sprung into action like the rest of the group. Thor and Bruce went off to find Natasha, while the rest were instructed to evacuate the city as quickly and safely as possibly. All while Tony stalled Ultron. It seemed pretty easy in theory.
"All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us," dad told us.
"Alright let's go," Diana yelled out to the civilians as she helped direct traffic. All taking on their marked off sections to complete before meeting up.
"Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."
At first Diana thought the worst part would be the loud honking coming from the many cars trying to push through, but that all changed when she saw the pavement crack.
Her head tilted as the spiderweb crack started to grow. Steeping forward she inspected the damage before everything went to shit.
Diana was thrown to the floor as swarms of Ultron's bots came up from the earth like the undead. She let out a small scream as the people around her started to run from the havoc.
Explosions and the public's terror muddled together as Diana struggled to stand. Doing her best to shoot down the robotic monsters coming her way, but every time she took one down three more appeared.
Looking around she suddenly stopped hearing people, making her stomach drop. Cranking her head around she tried to locate any sign of living organisms before gasping. As in the distant a small swarm of Ultron's lackeys were herding a group of civilians closer together. From where she stood, they look to be at least a good kilometre or two away. Her eyes widening as she realized there was no way she could make it there in time.
